Often, I see threads where folks ask about the viability of Pentax as a wedding camera.
There really is no such thing.
To me, there is only the craft of photography and the specifics to the genre of wedding photography.
Whether one uses the latest TTL/HSS or uses manual, it really does not really matter that much so long as one is accustomed to what he/she uses and have thought out what to do in most situations.

When I was asked to help do the shoot for the couple, I just apply what I have picked up and practiced over the course of time.
I sure had plenty of time practicing shooting my kids.
Truth. The only real professional equipment is the photographer that knows how to use the tools at hand. Tools are just that. Tools. Well spoken and excellent photograph to illustrate the point. .

I hope you are enjoying your stay in the USA. You photographs are a kind of torture to me. Since 2010 I have driven by Bryce, Zion and Arches National Parks six times and have never had the time to stop in and explore.

Picture 1. Not your purpose, but there was enough detail in the driving wheels. I now understand why the boxpok driving wheels were a good wartime materials austerity measure. Their spoke design was much more material efficient than the conventional cast wheels. It was the DR in image that enabled seeing detail in the shadow on black regions.

Excellent work Stephen.

I took a trip down into the gorge that I live near on the weekend. I'm still processing some of the shots but here are a few thus far. It was 37° Celsius but a little cooler in the gorge at times, but also windy so some shots were hard to take with still tree leaves etc.

Gorge 1

Yellow-bellied Water-skink

Gorge 3

Gorge 4

Gorge 5 (Pixelshifted)

I've got plenty of pictures of BFB wheels taken with K20, K30,K5, K3 and K1! The DR on the K1 is excellent!

Another Bulleid in action, taken with K1 and 28-105

LBA Day! Three new lenses (five actually), but these three are the main event. One portrait from each, a 135, a 150, and a 200. All wide open IIRC.

Eric & Frederic, thank you.
Holy cow, folks sure have been busy taking great photos posted in the last few days.
Here are a few of an unknown bee/wasp: side, top view & in flight. Followed by moon madness.
Best Regards, Bob
