Here are a couple of inside-the-house photos with K-1 and the invincible Pentax-D FA 50mm f 2.8 macro. When I cannot decide which lens to use, I often turn to the D FA 50 macro. In my lens cabinet, there is one line-up of lenses with these four in this order: D FA 50mm, FA 31, FA 77, and FA 43. They have names too, in order: Miss Clarity, Miss Pixie Dust, Miss Magic, and Miss Normal.
LOL i have also named my FA77 "Magic"! Sorry no names for the other two!

Cool pic's! I like how that Irix looks like it renders Pentax colors and decent bokeh. You are making that Irix look awful tempting... 'tis the season after all.
My Tokina 20-35 should be feeling very nervous.

Ha Ha ! I have the Plustek OpticFilm 120

Thank you ! Yes it is a wonderful lens. I'm not mastering it yet, but I don't give up...

Love your pile @normhead

In perfect conditions it could be a totally awesome shot. I'm thinking one day next fall I'll get up at four, drive down and catch it at sunrise, with the fall colours.
For sure. I think your current shot highlights "Ontario blah" gray winter lighting.

Most welcome. These were 44 cents/pound at Walmart.

My 77 was the first to be named. My wife inspired the name. When we were headed out on a photo foray, she would say, "I'll take the magic lens, and you can use something else." I would get the 31, the 43, or the 50/2.8 macro depending upon my focal length proclivities at that particular time. :>)

I mostly enjoy taking pictures of the only bright spot in my life now, my granddaughter so that FA77 on my K1 does a good job. I had thought about getting a FA*85 but folks really like them. I'm in a very dark place these days and don't get out much and enjoy the nice gear i do own!

I don't know if it's the lens is good, or she's so cute. Probably both.

Love that first shot.

Here's one from Lake McDonald in Glacier NP on a calm evening Sept 2016, standing about knee-deep in the lake.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your health and spirits improve. Photography for me really isn't about "art" as such, but more about capturing the beautiful moments that I see every day.
