Great details from that old crop lens, Savoche.

here is one from today with my Sammy 14, 3 image stitch, did not correct 'profile' with LR. So it kind a extends its faults and turns it to almost fishy.

Indeed! The corners are not great, but I rarely care about that with this lens. I have an even older FA*300 that would be better, but for safaris I want a zoom, and preferably a small and light one at that. The 55-300 fits perfectly, even on FF.

That's a well done stitch - and it must have been dead calm to get those branches sharp with the long exposure. Lovely captured winter scene.

I have also 55-300 WR and have been not using it lately because of those corners, but one can always crop..but at middle, it is good, if not great.

Thanks, yes, K-1 SR is really effective with this wide lens. just have to remember to squeez that trigger, not push, then it can even go 0,8 or even 1 second. 0,4 is doable and repeatable. sorry for my funny english words

Wow. I took for granted you used a tripd for this... Sure, the SR is very effective, but anything approaching half a second or slower is impressive, no matter which lens you use. You must have steady hands, even for a suomalainen

And your English is far better than my Finnish. Come to think of it, your Norwegian is most probably far better than my Finnish

Nice set per usual Frederic.

Thank you Eric. You know, I stopped taking moon shots since Rupert's death, because I'm sure he's hunting squirrels naked on the moon. That's why

Superb shots Kerrydown !

Hattifnatt, Eric said it well, many of us I am certain are grateful that you did go and take those great photos.
Kerrowdown, absolutely superb captures. This past Autumn & now Winter I have watched a couple of young yearling deer run around like a puppy or child, feeling the joy of life. It is great to witness.
Eric, I love your crazy imagination, and BTW...you have to say to Frederic nice series, not "nice set"
savoche, beautiful raw life photo.
repaap, that might be kinda fishy but it sure is a really terrific ice scene, and very impressive hand held.
Frederic, you certainly gave me a really good laugh for the night, thanks and I agree that would not be a pretty image to capture of old Rupert..
Best Regards, Bob
