Eric, that last photo of more mountain scenes is my favorite of all your vacation shots so far. Love the composition: the mountains; the mist; the clouds and a couple of evergreens, a very pretty scene. Did you take it or the wife...
pschlute, your photo of Rio puts a smile on my face, thanks.
Best Regards, Bob

Hattifnatt, that first moon shot is exceptionally good, very nice composition & good timing to catch the yellow and orange moon.

Excellent pictures both. My preference is the first one...has more of an aura of mystery.
Thank you both. One final shot from this series, Magura village at sunrise:

Thanks Bobby, I think... yes, the wife was there and I am sure she should get the credit for giving good photographic directions.
Something to the effect of "How many pictures do you need? I'm freezing, lets get back inside and get some hot cocoa!!!!" and that no doubt lead to the shot you see. It's all her fault... how did you know? LOL!

In hind sight, I have to wonder how many men would be brave (crazy?) enough to point an UWA at their wife? Up at the observation deck with she who must be obeyed:

A bit far off, but she was the only leopard we saw this time (actually not true since we also saw her cub, but I didn't manage to get an image...).

Not easy to spot in the undergrowth.

Out in the open lying down.

Sitting up after the cub had jumped onto her back and disappeared again. My wife managed to capture that brief moment with her super zoom thingie while I have to settle with the before and after shots

All with the SMC DA55-300.

From the top of Mauna Kea. Never forget to bring your heaviest winter clothes to Hawaii. It was ~15°f and windy to boot.

They kicked every one off the summit after sunset.
