Wow !! - the DFA 150-450

My wife has been wanting me to get this lens for awhile so finally ordered It and it arrived yesterday. Went for a quick walk this morning to try it out, didn't even bother taking a tripod, needless to say very happy with it. Been trying to get a good photo of one of these little guys for awhile, but they're quick and stay close to the ground in and out of the brush. The focus is very quick with this lens, which really helped finally getting some good shots.

This is the upper terrace of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone. Taken last May 18th after an overnight snowfall. I posted a slightly different image of this last June. Post processing in Silkypix Developer Studio Pro 8 brought out much more than PDCU 5. I have been revisiting a lot lot of images lately. Taken with the D FA 28-105. If I do my part, this lens really performs.

That's pretty cool..

What I like with B&W film, is that when you digitalize the negative, you can find a lot of recorded informations to reveal compared to DNG of DSLR files... And the grain becomes irrelevant...

Cambodia, Leica Macro-Elmarit-R 60/2.8 of 1976 with Leica R6/R8, Tri-X @ ISO400, 2008.
Digitalized with Pentax K-1 and cropped like a 90mm focal length.
