This is a nice combo, though. Lovely images. I find the 55-300 surprisingly usable on the K-1 in FF mode.

And that dipper in the last image is a tough little guy! Fascinating to watch as they dive non-stop no matter the temperatur.
The 55-300 also works pretty good on bigger birds too when mounted on the K1.

The bottom two photos are of some woman who tried to fly as good as the men, She had a bit of trouble flying in a straight line and sometimes seems to have a some issues knowing which way is up, but she landed safely.

In reality she is an aerobatics pilot named Jacquie Warda. She didn't start aerobatics flying until she was 50. Her theme is "Fly like a girl". She put on a great show and was very personable while on the ground answering questions. For those who are into these things she flies an Extra 300. Really cool looking plane.

recently, while doin some kind of GRAND cleaning in my appartment I found my old Pentax A 50mm /f1.7 lens back
Someone probably tried to hide it from me thinkin I've got too many babies already
I couldnt find it since about a year and I was thinkin about buyin another one when I discovered she was lying in a box with some kitchen tools that I rarely use

I remember I bought this lens as part of a Pentax ME and 2 lens package, this 50mm and a Tokina 35-70mm which was not bad. The deal was 50€ I guess, and Im very glad of the way this Fifty render pictures on the K1.
It's rather soft @/f1.7 but super sharp @/f2.8 and perfectly usable @/f2.

My daugter's pics was wide open, the Bridge and the Sunlight @/f22 and ISO 800 (wanted to see the star effect on this lens) and the Mosquee was taken @/f4, ISO 100.

I tried the Pentax magnification Eyecup to help with focus accuracy but as Im wearing glasses it's not convenient to use as you loose a big part of your framing view, still it's works great with focus accuracy.

Near distance leaves ...

K-1 • FF mode • DFA100WR • ISO400 • 1/160s • f/8

K-1 • APSC mode • DA55-300PLM@150 •ISO100 • 1/250s • f/5.6

Since the DA55-300PLM has a very good minimal focus (95 cm) you can get really nice near distance shots.

An old power station that is no longer in use. The dam on the other side is good for a swim, although most prefer to use it in warmer seasons.
