Couple pics from the Cliffs of Moher, probably Ireland's most famous attraction. It was raining pretty much all the time so it was nice to have the DFA 24-70
It's a dramatic spot, although photographically it's a shame that the cliffs face northward such that the light is rarely as good as you'd like. When we were there the wind was howling. Some kids were having a tough time standing against it. For a natural feature in Ireland, I really like/prefer the Giant's Causeway.

OK, time to render my judgement on the Soligor CD 20mm (Mine is Soligor with the Ricoh mount, I had to remove the "pin". Thanks for the heads up Frederic, that could have ruined my day!)

Stopped down just a little, I think it is darn near sharp as my much more modern Irix 15mm I posted last week. Wide open, the Soligor is still silly sharp on the focal plane. This really surprised me.

But for starter comparisons, the first shot here is with the DFA100WR stopped down to F6.3!

smc PENTAX-D FA MACRO 100mm F2.8 WR ƒ/6.3 100.0 mm 1/200 ISO100

And the next 2 shots are the Soligor 20mm wide open. I was blown away how sharp it still is at F2.8...

Soligor 20.0 mm F2.8 1/1600 ISO100

Wow, I wasn't aware Soligor made (or whitelabeled) any nice glass. Could you post a picture of the lens?

Wow ! Did you see the magic Soligor effect at minimum focus and wide open from the second shot ?

Nice pix all, but what's the story behind that huge, stuffed Northern Pike ?

2- You're using the Tilt screen and the cat is mesmerized by the system !
I used the tilt screen, you can't see this but there is a wall behind me. the Pentax K-1 is the only 35mm DSLR I have that has a tilting screen. All the high end Nikon, Canon and Leica cameras I own do not have this feature. It is very useful.

Thank you ! Those fishes were fished in the Lauch river (on the other side of the house), and the street's name is "rue des poissonniers" (fisher street) in Colmar (Alsace, France).

I'll admit to having an interest in this lens - I haven't worked with an STF lens more than briefly in my photographic career. Does this lens have a baoynet or screw on type lens hood?
