Just interested in a general comparison. Its just a curiosity from always hearing about those threads between the k-5 and k-1, and how close the crops compare. If i had to pick from your nice selection of lenses id say the 24-70 and the 35 ltd. Jpg would be fine
Okay, tomorrow I will see what I can do - today I have some "K1 + 24-70"-only photos with me

[All full JPG out of LR with K1-Update for LR already done]

24-70 at f2.8 OOC DNG -> LR -> JPG (I think nothing except from export-sharpening for screen?)

For the Handy Guys - 100% Crop from the photo above

24-70 at f2.8 - same "processing" again

24-70 at f2.8 again

24-70 at f3.2

again 24-70 at f3.2

24-70 at f4.5 and ISO 10.000

24-70 f8.0 straight into the sun

24-70 f8.0 70mm 1/25s

24-70 f8.0 70mm

Some photos may have "profile-correction" in LR enabled some not - sry I forgott - NR at high ISO in camera was active I think... uuum - you can download the files and geht the EXIF for more information. All I did was OOC DNG -> LR -> export as JPG (light sharpening for screen in export dialoge was active... forgot to switch it off).

If you like to have one or two raws from here tell me, then I gonna upload them, but not all, I dont have the fastest internet and the files are dmn huge

PS: Handling was a bit confusing with LV and preview button but went better over time, same for the tilt-screen^^. I had the K1 for over 1 hour only in my hands and although I´m kinda not the body-builder type of guy (62kg over 185cm xD) I had no problem at all with thei weight in my hand (K1 + 24-70). The grip is just a dream *_*!

I'm happy to just sit and stare!

Ok so I notice the SR to be subtle maybe its less pronounced on smaller lenses like the limited s?

But yeah so far happy as pie :-)

I'm wondering what's that black sheet under your K-1?

Today I got my K-1 and it's outstanding!
The whole afternoon I tried all my different lenses and all work fine!
This picture is not ooc but developped in silkypix, reduced in size and a bit sharpened. The light conditions in our living room were very bad. I took my old SMC F 1:1.7, 50mm lens, adjusted ISO 1600 and f/1.1.7. The camera calculated 1/80s an -2.00eV. I am very satisfied with the result

finally I got some time to go out and try it on the fields. Nothing special but I love this camera. Excited to get some "special" shots with it later this year haha

Lightroom gets pretty slow on my mac... aaaahh those 36 mpix

I enjoyed the low ground shot with the new screen. love this.
The wider ones are actually made with the DA 12-24 works great on that new machine (beginning from 16 or so).
The Fa 50 is just wonderful and even the DA 35 works really good on it. Third shot made with SMC-M 200/4 begins to shine from f11 on
Last two attachments are also DA12-24 with a 100% crop (Screenshot in Lightroom, how do you do 100% crops!?)

Just home after shooting a car event with luxury cars. Will post some pics tomorrow so you can see what K-1 can do. I might even let you download a RAW file or two to play with.

Wonderful pictures guys! I just had some time in a cafe with wifi accessibility and viewed some great samples! I'm still gathering pics and trying the camera, but I love it already. The K-1 is such a powerful camera and you feel this punch from the moment you hold it in your hands!

As a viewer, not an owner, I see the wonderful change in perspective that comes from using lenses at their "natural" field of view instead of 55% cropped.
The FA43 is a 3-D wonder at the normal length instead of short tele on APS-C.

Great work Pentax—Ricoh—and all you shooters!
