Some birds with DFA150-450mm

That shows lots of promises !!
The colours and details are fantastic.
Do you plan to use the HD TC as well of "just" cropping ?
I always said I don't need a K-1 ... and still don't -- but maybe "wanting" one now !!
Cheers!

I'm jealous of all of you who got your K-1 . I have to wait a while before I buy mine. Enjoy the fun without me for now.

Lovely Bokeh, and good to see the squirrels making an early appearance in the k-1 thread. Rupert (or should I say Otis) will be pleased . I'm going to try to put off buying my K-1 for a few months. We'll see how long I can hold out.
Good luck !

Alright, took it to the park and managed to deplete my partially charged battery, but not before getting some shots in.

DA* 50-135 f/2.8 w/ Vivitar 2X Macro Focusing TC. I think I'm going to use this combo more often, a sharp 100-270mm f/5.6 with unique closeup abilities.

The DA 40 XS is an absolute rock-star on this camera.

A 20 f/2.8 @ f/8

Mallards with Sigma 400mm f/5.6 APO Tele Macro

Squirrel with Sigma 400mm f/5.6 APO Tele Macro

Lots of feather detail with 36MP on your side. Sigma 400mm f/5.6 APO Tele Macro.

I could not trust my K-5 to AF accurately wide open with this lens, but the K-1 nails it on this chipmunk. Sigma 400mm f/5.6 APO Tele Macro.

F 28mm f/2.8

One more before bed! Pentax-A 50 f/1.7 wide open - dangled my arms over the railing and used focus peaking in live view with the articulating screen to get this angle.

Yes, more cats!

Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art @ 28mm f/1.8, FF mode, forgot to take the hood off. One-click lens profile correction in Lightroom, no vignette added. I'm glad I kept this lens.

Not mine but here's some large size FA31 photos from an outdoor model shoot in Japan.

There's also a K3 mixed in this album so they do have the FA31 on both the K1 and K3(it's not a real test given they were taken different times, lighting, settings...etc but just fun to look at.)

+1 for flippy screens. And the K-1's flippy screen in particular. It gives you access to some angles that many other flippy screens can't provide.

Thanks, these are SOOC pictures from SD2 / XS files of 2 Mpix. No crop and no TC.
I used internal K-1 filters to enhance colors correspondances
