Lovely......but you are missing the big award party over in the K5IIs thread. You better get over there before the Champagne is all gone!

Regards!

I really fell in love with this cam. Actually, this is the cam I have always wanted, it's awesome. Besides all the great specs, it's the perfect size and ergonomically fits in my hand like no camera before. I am really really happy. I am usually absolutely not the materialistic guy, but I think I have never been more happy about anything I bought besides my first DSLR.

Glorfindelrb,

Great pix. I'm surprised how well the 70mm Limited worked out. I have this lens and was concerned that the 70 would vignette with the full frame...but all looks well, with no problems.

Here is the best I can do for today - all images again RAW out of cam -> LR -> export as JPG with "normal" sharpening for screen at export dialogue, nothing else.

24-70 full K1
24-70 CROP K1
24-70 K5

35ltd full K1
35ltd CROP K1
35ltd K5

On both sets the light changed a bit while changing lenses. The 24-70 was out of hand, the 35ltd not. Perspective change in the 2nd set cause of the huger body of the K1
The DA35LTD full frame shot on the K-1 is interesting, and there's no visible vignetting. How much post-processing did you do on this? Given the previous discussions here about this lens, it would be interesting to get some more photos at different focus settings. I'm starting to wonder if sample variations, or even batch differences might make it more useful on the K-1 than we anticipated. I do realise, however, that the corners aren't usually much of an issue in close-up shots like this (it is a macro lens, after all).

Today I limited myself to "The F Team"
(shot by Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 @ FF mode, 35mm, f/1.8)

We already know the F 28 is an amazing lens, but what about the other 3?

Pentax-F 35-80mm f/4-5.6:

Pentax-F 80-200mm f/4.7-5.6:

Pentax-F Fisheye 17-28mm f/3.5-4.5:

Conclusions:
- The 35-80 is still an occasional odd-ball for-fun type lens, it holds up on 36MP okay.
- The 80-200 disappointed me most today - since I really like it on my K-5. I think it may need an AF adjustment, because it missed on almost everything that was closer than a few metres. I have around 30 other chickadees that don't make the cut, even the one I posted is not of a quality I would normally accept.
- The 17-28 Fisheye has the exact characteristics of my DA 10-17 - I use it the exact same way and I get the same excellent quality images. This is a superb lens.

The K-1 seems to be the dream camera of Pentaxians.

BTW, very good photo of this ' 50's (I'm guessing) NSU Supermax. They were very well built and innovative. Never had one, but did have some CZ street motorcycles back in the 1960's.....which were manufactured in Czechoslovakia. Similar period mid European styling.

There was no real post-processing at all. Just imported the DNG into LR6 and then exported it with the watermark and the "normal sharpening for screens" option. I can do a few more shots with it later this day at different focus settings

That would be very good of you, thanks. I assume you've seen the discussions about vignetting from this lens on full-frame sensors and film.
