I tried it last night with a few different lenses, I was not impressed. Lenses I tested:
FA*28-70 2.8
DFA100mm WR 2.8
K 200mm 2.5
K 24mm 2.8

I didn't really see anything unless I seriously pixelpeeped. I guess either I did something wrong or I did something wrong...
Maybe your lenses are sharper than mine at the first place

I edited my last post and included a crop of the same picture but without P-S, its subtle but i find it adds a fair amount of sharpness. I might not use it all the time but its a plus imao

I'll have a firmer opinion after having my own playtimes once my copy arrives, but so far I'd wager it pretty safe to say that the benefit of the PS effort, if it's just for our 1000-ish-px web sizes is not worth it.. If the image is going to fill a 24+ inch monitor or for print, then yes...

The hard work continues with the AutoTak 85/1.8 (virtually no pp required), I'll soldier on for the sake of the community:

I agree with you that it is mostly for prints and large viewing format. It may add a little bit of contrast but side by side the difference is negligable. On the crop it is noticeable but thats another story

Btw, all the picture i post here are full size jpeg that i dump in flikr so if you click on them it gives a better idea.

Awesome shots, stubyles!

Excited to say, it's my first K-1 post! Yes, I wasn't planning to, I felt k-3 and all the glass I have is enough etc etc etc...but something snapped in me and I was powerless to resist!

I'm not a FA 77 owner.... here I could not wait to try my A50 f1.2, here at f8, and ISO800. Cross posted from the A-Lens Club.

First thoughts, errr too many to say, but I think a whole new realm of LBA has just opened up. Quite apart from all the awesome looking new FF zooms, I am just dying for HD FA Limiteds as well as D-FA* 85mm 1.4 and a D-FA* 200mm Macro. Come on Pentax!

As always, click through for better quality, I really am going to have to get a flickr account for the better quality embeds!

Just collected my K1 last night, first thing to test is the high iso performance.

Straight out of cam jpeg, no noise removal. Shot at 43mm, F1.9, 1/60sec, iso 16,000

"16,000"! "no noise removal"! That's simply incredible. Much better than I could have hoped for. Watch for my flashes to be put up for sale soon.

Thanks for posting that image.

Has anyone tried K1 with samyang 14mm yet?
My K-1 and the Rokinon 14mm should be arriving in a day or two and I'll be doing a lot of shots with it to test it out. If there's any particular scenes you want me to try it in just let me know and I'll make sure to add it to my list of shots I want to test it out with!

So, after starting the "Will you be shooting at 36MP thread" I've since bought one and went out today to finally take some proper outdoor pictures!
I don't have any particularly good lenses yet, so everything so far's been done with the 35mm DA L F2.4 AL and the smc Pentax-DA L 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6AL WR that was bundled with my K-50.

Also using a Tiffen circular polarizer and some post in Lightroom.

And this one with Pixel Shift Resolution:

More to come soon!
Wow that pixel shift resolution really brings out those colors! It's good to finally see it being used in that environment. A lot of the previews of it seemed to be of single objects.

For the people enjoying their K-1, can anyone of you slap a DA 20-40mm f/2.8-4 Ltd on there and a DA 40mm f/2.8 Ltd and tell me how well they do? Do both of them cover the full frame sensor or will I need to shoot in crop mode? I plan on purchasing the K-1 by the end of the month. I most likely won't have a mean to get a lens with it tho. I know my 77 ltd will hold me up but it would be nice to know the DAs would do fine too.

I am looking forward to receive the camera any day now. But still wonder if anyone has any pictures with DA50 1.8 and FA35 2.0 . And maybe Tamron 70-200 2.8.

Not sure what your worries are, sunCrm.

These are on the Sony A7, so *obviously* they'll be better on the K-1:

DA50 f1.8:

FA35 f2:

Tamron 70-200mm f2.8:

The DA40 will be fine, the DA20-40 will probably need crop mode.

Nice to see that the DA35 and DA70 works fine with the K-1. Hmmm... Hoping I can muster enough money to get one. More photos please.

The Da 40 ltd is OK on FF but there is a bit of vigneting, looks to be easily removable in LR but i can confirm to you later
