This is what I got with the DA 35 Limited, FF, 1/250 @ f/8, ISO 100.

My experience with the 35 limited 2.8 so far: pull the hood back a bit to get rid of vignetting.

Was that with the hood extended? Here it seems a little better than that at f8, as long as the hood is stowed! Although these perceptions do alter with the scene.

Based on a very quick test, DA40 seems pretty good and DA70 is not too bad at all to me, though I must admit this K-1 thing is tweaking my LBA nerve!

Happening status: Oh boy, oh boy. I'll be taking this cat out with the 1.2 today for a spin. Tomorrow will be the FA*28-70.

Thanks John.

Have to say I am loving this camera with these old classic lenses, I might get round to my FA77 eventually, just got another few Auto-Taks, Super-Taks, Mirs, Helioses, Ks, As, Jupiters and a Tair to try first!

What breed/mix is your dog? He looks suspiciously like ours and we've been trying to decode his heritage for a couple years.
He's a Jack Russell but we think he might have a little bit of Staffy in him, from his chest and the way he sits, feet pointing outwards.

Had a detour after I watched Captain America today.
Again with the Voigtlander 180mm f4

I realy love this lens compared to when I used it on the K-5. Focus is easier, image quality is superb when you nail the focus. Like on the western jackdaw.

100% crop

This lens is ruffeling me feathers!!

I'd never considered that. Our dog has very, very similar coloring but with a double-layered coat. We'd thought maybe beagle/husky, but Jack Russell is intriguing.

Anyway, thanks for the reply!

You can use your battery of your K-5, if you have one
Nah unfortunately no, I've gone from K20Ds to K1, batteries are different.

I don't know what I have been most excited to try - I grabbed my own vintage collection first, but then started to obsess over which DA's give acceptable results!

Hopefully some PROPER pictures over the next couple of days.

Enjoy, everyone, I'm looking forward to seeing more here!

Has anyone put a Helios lens on their K1 yet? Mine performs so well on FF film cameras, I'm excited to see what you get out of it with the K1.

Awesome pictures, everyone! I'm drooling. My new K-1 is waiting for me at home. I can hardly wait!!

I'm really anxious to see photos taken with the new 28-105 lens. I am strongly considering it to use as a walkaround with my K-1 if it gets favorable reviews.
