OK...That is a Helios 40-2 85/1.5 according to the click-through. Does anyone have one from a Helios 44 series 58/2?

My first shots with the K-1

It was still light enough when I got home this evening to go out and take some higher ISO pictures. The K-1 does such a great job handling noise compared to the K-3. Pictures were taken with the DFA 100mm WR macro. I was really impressed by the level of detail in the tree photo, even without pixel shift activated, and the smoothness of the bokeh in the close up shot. It was fun looking at the photos on my computer and seeing how different depth of field plays out in FF. I'm looking forward to the weekend when I will have an opportunity to shoot with a low IS0 and with the lens stopped down some. I had purchased a couple of 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro cards. I was relieved that the downloading of the photos from the SD card was quick and the opening of the pictures as well on my new computer. I am an overall very very happy camper with the K-1. All I can say is thank you Ricoh for bringing our dreams of a FF Pentax camera to life.

https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2173937159000558306 Here are a couple of Ki shots on my Blipfoto page. Daytime shots used ND8 and ND8 Grad filters. The night shot is taken without Astrotracer.

For the friend who was asking about Tamron 70-200/2.8 images with the K-1. The Tammy lens is one of my favourites and after the initial AF problems that I managed to overcome (with the Tamron service support) it performs excellent. The center resolution and sharpness is amazing for a zoom lens. Up to now I used it on my K-5IIs and on the crop sensor the peripheral IQ degradation was negligible. On the K-1 there is significant loss of IQ and much CA and aberrations as you move from the center to the edges of the frame. Even stopped down the lens suffers from obvious peripheral IQ degradation. So as I said earlier its up to you to decide what do you want this lens for and if it matches your shooting style. For me that I care mostly for the center performance, it is a great lens. Now with the K-1 its AF performance and speed is even better and that is another plus!

The peripheral IQ degradation is more evident in some focus lengths than others. At the shortest end 70mm I think is the most severe. Here is a picture that shows what I'm talking about. Not the best (maybe even some motion blur) but it is a good example and that is why I attach it. After I mounded my Tamron on the K-1 I feel that maybe it is also a bit decentered, as there are more problems on the right side of the frames than on the left... The original picture and 3 100% crops from it (center - middle border left - middle border right, all from the original OOC Jpeg with no PP):

Yeah...I haven't worked out how to use this lens (understatement) - I have seen others get good shots out of them.

That shot was actually taken at 1.2...exif says 1.4.

Hi

If anybody is interested how the DA* 60-250 performs on the K-1 here are some quick and dirty sample shots.
With the Pentax-F 1.7 AF Adapter at the 60mm and 250mm the EXIF is noting a focal length of 600mm.
Hood was attached.

Cheers

P.S. Please take no notice of the banding

A small and a non-professional test on high Iso. To almost identical pictures , both with K-1 and FA 77 mm f.1.8
Pictures taken at f.1.8 and f.11 , 1100 iso and 36000 iso.
Pictures edited as I would normally do, beside that I didn't use any noise reduction.

6 hours to go at work. I packed the 35/2.8 and 50/1.4, a 32G card and the battery's sitting in the charger on my desk, so at least I'll be ready to shoot once I punch out for the day :-D
