@noelpolar: I really like your Lenshood and the hand-sling-thing (sorry don't know the english word). Would you tell me where you got them? Will lens caps still fit with lens hood on? thanks, mate!
No worries.... Lance Classic wrist strap.... got mine off ebay..... manufacturers site is. Lance Camera Straps | Classic Lug Wrist

The Lens hood is a ebay Hong Kong thing.... quite a few listings on ebay..... only a few dollars each... they seem fine for 35mm lenses up on the K-1

More from the dandelion patch - macro with the K-1

Pentax K-1 and the 32-year old M100/4 macro at f/8 and ISO 1600. It loses a lot in the compression. No NR in-camera nor in post. Slight high-frequency sharpening.

DFA2.8/100WR

M1.7/50 + DA TC1.4x = 70mm - open aperture

DFA2.8/100WR

DFA2.8/100WR + Achromat +3

DFA2.8/100WR combined with DA TC1.4x shows vignetting in the corners. Same with my Vivitar S1 2.8-4.0/70-210mm.

Thank you good sir! I found the lenshood from China for 1,59€ each in the 49mm version. Awesome!
And the strap (ahh that's the word again ) manufactures have some really nice alternatives in their program. I think I will get one of these very soon. Haha. Thank you!!!

Thank you so much. I don't see vignetting. Does it mean DA 35 f2.8 macro works in FF mode in K-1!!

Seems like it. I think the vignetting only becomes a problem with the sunshade extended.

After a few more tests, it seems like the lens doesn't vignette perceptibly at 2.8 and not at all on 3.5 onwards. You just see the sunshade in the frame when it's extended. I guess a wider shade might even work if you really need one, but I don't have one in that thread size to test.

Thanks a lot, greatly appreciate it. I was thinking of selling my 35 macro. Thanks to you, I may just hold on to it

A couple of sunset shots with the DA *55 (full size images on Flickr)...

The second one shot at f2.8 and so a little bit of vignetting. Still, I'm pretty pleased with the results from this lens. Won't have the opportunity to shoot with it much till after the weekend though.

Thanks, Vincent, your pics are one of the reasons I've just bought a DA*55 to go with the K-1!

Below are shots with the DAL35 F2.4, one more lens confirm it is able to use on the FF. (I call in DAL as it is our cheapo DA35 lol..)
In the K1, there is a skin tone setting in. Never try while taking with Raw/DNG, therefore was curious how would it works.
I did a JPEG conversion inside the K1 and there is the skin tone seeting in it to try.

Original photo converted to JPEG, Portrait , no shadow correction.

1st pic: Portrait, Skin tone 1, shadow correction - low
2nd Pic: Portrait, Skin tone 2, shadow correction - low

I uploaded the full size in flick, think it will be easier to compare seeing there. Think it soften the skin and at type 2, it soften even more.
Maybe abit of slight skin tone adjustment, i felt.
