I like that one a lot. How did you manage to keep your feet out of the picture?

I sat down on my deck to start going through some of the K1s settings, There had been a hummingbird flitting around in one of our gardens far away (far even for the Bigma), but he never came to the feeder.

No sooner did I focus on the feeder to test a few things out when "poof" - he appeared out of nowhere.

Bigma at 500 with a heavy crop.

This is a 26 image focus stack using pixel shift.
Lens is the FA200/4 Macro.

It's too big to post here, but do click the link.

A few from my first weekend with the K-1. Loving this camera so much.

Samyang 24mm

A100 Macro

Samyang 24mm (HDR processed in Lightroom)

Samyang 24mm

Sigma 17-35
Great shots, 3 and 5 are my favourites--very compelling imagery!

Fire-spinning student in the dark courtyard at East Campus dorm, MIT, last Friday night. Pentax-FA 43/1.9 limited. ISO 12800! That allowed 1/125 at f/2.8 (Shutter speed really too fast!)

I see lots of Samyang wide angles in here. No Vignetting with the 14 or 24mm ? Or are your images cropped?

EDIT: Nevermind, i found that the Samyang/Rokinon 14mm supports FF (https://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/pentax-da-14mm-f28/whats-in-the-box.html)

EDIT #2: I think I found my first dedicated landscape lens for the K1.

@Wheatfield - Let me take the glass outta my eye! That is one sharp image. I can see the K-1 becoming a product shot beast.

It's been in my sig for two weeks already, but a Macro-Takumar 50mm f/4 came in the mail today! I might have a new favourite macro lens...

Check out that exotic camera porn, D-mount lens in an M42 SLR, what next!?

It looks as though it was done with a view camera. The K-1 is going to become THE product image camera.

If you have 12mb of download time to spare, here's the full res image.
You will note a little bit of softness just above the brooch cause by my moving the focus a bit too far at some point during the sequence, and it isn't quite a "full res" image due to a bit of unavoidable cropping from the stacking process (and a small amount of avoidable cropping because my framing wasn't quite right).

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqf7mm6mndbov49/K1Stack1full.jpg?dl=0

Enjoy.

It's a pretty good camera. Be sure to check out the full res image.
