Spent the day enjoying some quiet in the redwoods. Here are a few from the hike. I will say the 28-105 is a perfect walk-around lens.
Wow, looks like a nice place. Congratulations on the new camera

Nice shooting and I like the ones of the old theater.
The theatre is a great place to shoot. The K-1 works great in low light situations!

wow, great pics Rupert. What lens did you use?
Thanks! I am shooting with the Bigma 50-500 HSM OS...but using the Pentax SR because it is better. For years I have been a Bigma shooter....a slow lens that hunts like an old blind hound dog.......but on the K1 it is Jackrabbit fast and accurate.....simply amazing! This camera is thrilling!

Oh come on Jim. What is there about great wings that could get a "Rupert Type" cross threaded here?

Go straight to your local Hooters and get a mess of wings right now!
Well Racer, I like wings, but when I go out I am more a "breast kind of guy". You reckon they have any breasts in a Hooters???

Regards!

Hehe, seems like a nice lense. I need something with more reacht as the FA* 200mm + 1.7 AFA, would love to have the new Sigma 150-600 but they don't offer it in PK mount unfortunately. I am still not quite sure whether to buy the new DFA 150-450 or the Sigma 50-500 ... but since I don't have money to spare at the moment I may not waste my time on thinking about those :-)

Yes, too bad Sigma won't make us that lens. If I was buying, I'd go for the Pentax 150-450...I think it has better IQ but I am very happy with my Bigma 50-500 and need to spend on other ranges right now. Maybe that new 70-200 will be on my short list...and it better be a short list, Mrs Rupert won't fund me forever!

Bigma 50-500

1/160 handheld F6.3(wide open) @ 500mm ISO 12,800...my first shot of the day today.

Best Regards!

Nice set!
