Trying out my FA35mm F2.0 while my DFA 24-70mm is in the shop for a de-centering problem.

Pixel shift, this time using PDCU.

I think I sharpened it up a bit in the PDCU, but overall I think this is the software to better make use of the PixS file.
The quality of the sensor (whatever Pentax did to it) and the Samyang 14/2.8 is incredible to me.

Go to the largest file :
https://www.flickr.com/photos/29329237@N07/26540322334/sizes/o/

Even license plates and info off the tourist info center on the bottom left corner is readable.

Not a small feat for any 14-15mm lens.
The resolution is absolutely incredible across the frame. No fuzzy stuff whatsoever!

Can't se any mustache either. This is the lens with mustache distortion right? Fixed with lens profile?

K1 with K135 F2.5 - all at wide open..

How i wish we could have more control for older series lens which did not have the "A" Setting.

Good photograph. I often wanted to take a useful picture of this building for travel brochures but never could get this nice perspective as you did.

As I said before, one has to be pretty talented to produce soft images with this camera.

Bl**dy hell, the red plastic flowers hanging off the building were there some 10 years ago and they still have not wilted. That is impressive also.

Cheers

I'm amazed every time I open this thread! Great work by everyone! What a winner the K-1 is!

I don't believe I've seen any photos yet from the K-1 and Panagor 90mm macro combo. Apologies if missed it. I was out with that combo experimenting and found this tiny fly drinking water from a red hot poker bloom. This was the only shot I got in focus on the head. The DOF was so tiny! I don't remember the aperture now, unfortunately. That's the bad thing about these old manual lenses. This was cropped about 50%.

First time pixel shift technology (PST) - DFA100WR + DA TC1.4x (original dng file 159.2 MB, tiff 16 bit 217.1 MB)

Second PST picture (file sizes similar to the first)

DFA100WR

M1.7/50 + DA TC1.4x - using catch in focus - this lens is PST-like sharp - no joke

That has absolutely phenomenal detail. Thanks for sharing. I always figured the once people got the hang of pixel shift we'd see some images like this. The image demonstrates a perfect application of what PS can do, I'll have to bookmark it.

I own both 15-30 and 24-70 which are both produced by Tamron.

15-30 is slightly better in color and clarity. It also gives a more 3D feel.
