Maybe impossible to pick out the K1 images from a set of 50 taken with K1, K3, K5, even K20, but somehow the K1 images posted here look slightly different to my eye. Maybe it's wishful thinking.
I'm watching for shots on the edge of capability. Low light, stuff moving, extremes between bright and shadow. As well as graduations of color.
We end up taking the shots that we can, and in time our shooting habits conform with our equipment. My impression is that the shots that people usually take are easy to capture and very satisfying. Within hours people were posting nice results. Over the summer people will be widening out their range, and we will start seeing comments describing the new edges of capability.
By next spring we will be wanting MORE!!! Pentax will be doomed!
Essentially the excellence of the camera is a factor of the time between release and Doom. So far so good.
