I'm constantly pleasantly surprised by how good the DA* 60-250 mm f4 is on the K-1. Just a bit of vignetting at the longer focal lengths that is easily remedied by a small bit of cropping. Alas, it is not a combination made for birds in flight. I'm by no means an expert at this type of photography, but my hit rate was dismal. However, when it catches focus, the results are spectacular!

IN it's patent the 60-250 is a full frame design. There's an internal anti-reflection plate that cripples it somewhat, that people have revoked or altered. But that is a spectacular image. I'm trying to avoid K-1 envy. You're not helping.

Very nice picture, can you post a 1:1 crop of the head/body. I'm not pixel peeping I just find the picture great and want to see it larger.

During my travels in the U.S. I have never come across food markets and I really don't know if they exist, though I suspect they do. Here in Melbourne, as well as in other cities in Australia, they are still very popular.

Shopping at this market is actually quite a pleasant experience, one can sit down at various places among the stalls for a coffee and have a bit of a natter or talk to the stall holders which I got to know over the years.

Lack of shooting opportunities at the present time; I decided to take the K-1 and show her where I do my shopping.
Nothing spectacular, just a few "slice of live" images of what I see when I shop at the market which is not too far away from where I reside.

Cheers

In USA ask locals for the nearest flea or farmer's Market. Not usually open every day, usually on weekends.
