That third shot is really cool!
Thank you.

Now I have a bit of a challenge for everyone. This next shot was taken in FF mode with a Pentax-branded 50mm lens, however it is not a K-mount or M42-mount lens. Which one could it be?

6400 iso !!

Picked up my K-1 this morning from the PO, was out 20 mins later seeing what it could do. Wasn't expecting to get these photos of this guy - too dark and bad backlight. But he buzzed in as I walked past the feeder, took 3 quick shots with DA*200 on. Surprisingly, came out pretty good considering the conditions, couldn't have done it with my K-3II. No sharpening or noise reduction, just a little cropping, a little tweaking to the highlights, shadow & contast.

F8, 1/1500sec & 6400 iso

Beautiful shot, wpresto. I wish my columbines hadn't died off.
That image was taken about a week ago, and I suspect the unseasonably, actually record breaking heat nay have hastened the passing of the columbine for this year. Fringed polygala was wonderful ten days back, but now what few are left have petals that have turned deep maroon rather than the lovely pink of new blossoms. During our dog-walk today, the lady slippers were in their glory, and there are exceptional numbers up this Spring. Haven't been out yet to photograph some - unusual family matters.

Pixel-peeping time. K1 (FF mode) + 28~105mm, @ 73mm, F8. Image has PP, including sharpening, uncropped and a deep crop (slightly brightened from the uncropped version). The 24~70mm is supposed to be better. Hard to believe. I should have used pixel-shift and obtained some real detail.

During my travels in the U.S. I have never come across food markets and I really don't know if they exist, though I suspect they do. Here in Melbourne, as well as in other cities in Australia, they are still very popular.

Shopping at this market is actually quite a pleasant experience, one can sit down at various places among the stalls for a coffee and have a bit of a natter or talk to the stall holders which I got to know over the years.

Lack of shooting opportunities at the present time; I decided to take the K-1 and show her where I do my shopping.
Nothing spectacular, just a few "slice of live" images of what I see when I shop at the market which is not too far away from where I reside.

Cheers
Good to see it is well patronised, I far prefer to support these enterprises than the supermarket duopoly we have here.

Hi
Nice.
You keep the lawn tidy but I think the house could do with a coat of paint.

(Just kidding)

Beautiful pic Adrian! How is the Sigma performing on the K-1? Do you see any improvements or any cons like vignetting?

Hi Sandy,

Yes - all with 15-30. It's a great lens.
