Congratulations! Lovely wife! Whatever lens that was I do like the way it rendered the colors and resolution. Not too sharp...often I see people shots like this that are too sharp and don't appear natural...yours are very natural.

Regards!
I'm sure it's not the sharpest copy of the Helios 44-2 out there, but that said, the wife doesn't like every pore and eye makeup glob visible anyhow

I want that lens someday....I've seen so many other fine shots with it too.

Regards!

Great stuff everyone! A small point of order: It would be really helpful to include the lens used with any image posted.

Just sayin'
Updated my pictures with the lens used

by f4 the Helios 44-2 is pretty sharp, but a lot less swirl. I should have taken some images at 2.8 to see if I could get the best of both worlds with sharpness and swirl.

This is shot #30 with an A50/1.4 lens set at f2.2 and speed 1/8 sec, hand held. There was only one table lamp on for lighting.

We're all doomed!

Doomed I tells ya!

Nice work mate, the angle adds a sense of menace to the Terminator like subject.

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. I bet there's images you've captured that I could return the compliment for.

At the time I was glad the two people walked along when they did and I chased getting them into frame with the rest of the scene. The images I took without them don't work when compared with this image.
