Here are a few random shots I took yesterday. All in FF mode - I have not even tried crop mode yet. I've been sticking with FF lenses. The first two were taken with the D FA 50mm macro. I discovered you can use catch in focus with this lens by activating the focus clamp. This makes me very happy! The last two were taken with the Helios 44k-4 58mm lens at f/2.
Love that Daisy, Superb!

Here's one from the A20 for the Single-In-Challenge

I didn't keep any of my "test photos" from shooting my SMC Pentax-M* 300mm F4 today. But I can say, that this lens is extremely sharp on my new K1. Clearly the sharpest f-stop is 13.

If you don't mind using a manual focus telephoto lens and the "green button" on your K1 camera, you might want to consider the SMC Pentax-M* 300mm F4 lens.

So, there's another old MF Pentax lens for you that performs admirably on the wonderful K1.

In the future I will certainly be posting some photos I'll be taking with this combination...

Went for a walk around the neighbourhood, went into a store and walked out with a 360FGZ II flash and future delivery on a DFA 100mm f/2.8 WR Macro. A lovely weather-sealed macro combo...
The F 28 did nothing to protect my wallet, it just took photos along the way.

Good pixelshift evangelist (Soligor lens ?). One of the best I have seen so far on this forum - unless I am missing something. Curios to know whether a PP was applied (

Nice shot! I think my K1 adds two hours extra shooting time to the days....early morning and late evening. The ISO and SR are wonderful together!

I'm not sure the "new will ever wear off" of this camera for me! That's how I felt about my K5IIs....Pentax is making great cameras!

Regards!
Thanks

European Skipper

Enjoy the season... M
"Tiny European Skipper butterfly after nectar from the bud of a Bird’s Foot Trefoil floret." A sentence which opens beautifully and runs into quicksand!

Great shot. Are you liking the 15-30mm?
Thanks Rich. Definitely loving it.

You should see the 4k version, even more dynamic. The down res-ing process affects white levels and microcontrast, makes the shot look dull.

Back to the 15-30, it had some erratic focus when brand new, but now after being broken in. (100 shots) out nails focus better. I did notice a hard focus ring when it was new, but it's loosened up a little now. My friend and I bought the same lens within a couple of days, he got the Tammy version for his Canon, his focus dial was smoother from the outset. The lens has great CA performance, sharpens up great in post.

Thank you... (so what's your point?)

Just curious... M
My point is that "Bird’s Foot Trefoil floret" is very fun to say, so no point really.
