Beautiful! This is the kind of picture I aspire to take. Is the exif correct? A*135? David
I used the Samyong 135 f2, wide open, with focus peaking in live view in combination with tilt screen, getting used to it, it works very well.

I have 44-2 preset, and only now really noticed the difference with 44K-4 for bokeh. Not for twirling bokeh itself, but in general, 44-4 seems producing more "unpredictable" background. It was originally the reason why I got into Pentax, to "paint" with that lens, then I got LBA, and forgot about the whole initial idea, and started shooting with aperture stopped down instead, occasionally. Then I discovered SuperTaks, limiteds, etc...
44k-4 was abandoned. I need to re-explore it.

Thanks for the info. I do agree about focus peaking. The live view (and CAF) is miles ahead compared to my old K-7.

Had a 28 Shift for my LX. It is ONE BIG LENS. Not the sort of thing you pop in your camera bag "just in case."

Wonderful shots FS! In particular the very handsome squirrels! You can forget those noodle shots though.....I'm not into that sort of thing.

In regard to your earlier reply of "Nice little Otis"......to a shot of a fat little female.....

...Otis was greatly insulted and very concerned that you cannot tell the difference in anatomy, which can lead to serious problems. He wanted to pose just for you to make certain you do not confuse him for a girly squirrel.......though he does concede there is nothing wrong with girly squirrels, he is just obviously not one of them!

He hopes that with this shot you will "get it"!

Best Regards!

I have a bag in which it fits easely together with some other lenses and the camera.

If I can get up around f9 and still keep a little speed, the Bigma 50-500 does pretty decent on the K1. If I was closer, it might be even better?

Poor Jay...complaining that fireworks kept him up all night.

1/160 handheld f9 ISO 3200 @ 500mm

"I'd like to get hold of the idiot that sold those fireworks to the damn squirrels!"

Regards!
