I received my K-1 today, so perhaps this post will be indicative of new enthusiasm, rather than any worthwhile images. I’m very impressed so far.
One of the first 4-5 shots I've taken with my K-1, received this morning; using my legacy SMC M 50 f1.7, owned since 1981. Wide-open, SOOC PEF-> jpg, except for some highlight control and cropping.
In my fairly limited exploration today, I found that I often needed lots of -ve exposure compensation when shooting legacy lenses outdoors, like the P645 A75/2.8, or my Vivitar (Komine) Series 1 70-210/2.8-4.0 in native PKA fit. I measured WB outdoors using a ColorChecker Passport card and it was close enough to 5000K to use this Kelvin setting in later shots (also left for indoors shots too).
Some legacy lenses are not performing very well with flare and so on, however it could also be the Kipon P645-PK adapter. Although it cost about A$160 it’s not a genuine Pentax one and there may be internal reflections occurring.
This one focused on the green display characters using live view. A75 f2.8 wide-open
Another at f2.8, near MFD
Outside, results not so great, although it's a bright midwinter's day here Down Under. A75/2.8 at f5.6 or 6.3
Vivitar (Komine) Series 1 70-210 f2.8-4.0 PKA, f7.1, 100mm macro mode, -2 stops exposure compensation
Using the Pentacon 135/2.8 V1 with its 15 aperture blades.
Pentacon 135/2.8 M42 at f3.5 or f4
