What the blazes??? Either that image is very heavily photoshopped, you are one incredible photographer, or there is an abundance of magic where you live. I suspect the second. Well done!
I shot a similar storm sequence at sunset once, with some brilliant colors. I was so excited about the possibilities for the photos, and only had a few seconds to set up before the colors disappeared that I didn't realize my K-7, at the time, was set to ISO 1600, well beyond its limits for that situation. I almost cried when I loaded them into lightroom and realized my mistake. This is a fantastic photo though!

I finally got some help in the war on squirrels. I believe this is a broad winged hawk. Stooped by last evening. Quick grab shot with my 150-450 lens. 1/60 second. Got to love shake reduction. Earlier in the day there were 4 of them in my yard.

That is a young Cooper's Hawk. They are more oriented toward birds as prey items but I imagine if they are hungry enough they can go after squirrels.

Thanks for the proper ID. I wondered whether it my be a Coopers Hawk too but the photos in the book I had left me wondering. Both are around here. Earlier in the the day my wife saw 4 of them in the yard.

As Rupert pointed out, a thread that been swept into the back of the closet. Perhaps for images that turned out poorly and you hope no one will see.
I reckon all of my images posted in my first post to this thread (above) would qualify; definitely a case of enthusiasm over results!

Little Evodia (Evodialla muelleri) flower, with ant. Tried the Sigma 105 f2.8 Macro with the K-1 for the first time today. For scale, the unopened bud on the right is about 4mm in height. Hand-held with the Pentax AF200FG flash.

Most of the shots over there are ones I posted and I thought for first shots with the K1 they were pretty decent. However, since they were Crop Mode shots, the FF snobs apparently thought they didn't count as K1 shots. I should have lied and said they were FF.

I liked this one...and a lot of the others too!

I'm seeing more and more really fine shooters...like FS, take advantage of the Crop Mode. They are apparently more interested in images than FF snobbery?

Regards!

A couple of bird shots from today, a rainy and dull day in South-east Queensland. Sulphur-crested Cockatoo and a very wet Rainbow Lorikeet.
