First real shooting session with my K-1

Here are some shots I've done this week with my dysfunctional K-1 (AF problem) and dysfunctional Tamron 28-75 lens (problem with the pins, it lost the communication with the body). I was still able to do this shooting in uncomfortable conditions, but am quite pleased with the result . I can send them back for repair now. All shot taken in FF mode but reframed and processed with RawTherapee.

The whole set can be seen here.

K-1 + Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 + 2 Elinchrom flash (on a side note, I'm sad to see that there's not second curtain flash possibility with the EL Skyport Transmitter Plus

28.12mm, f/8, 1/50, 100 ISO

33.12mm, f/7.1, 1/160, 100 ISO

75mm, f/4.5, 1/200, 100 ISO

28.12mm, f/9, 1/50, 100 ISO

K-1 + Sigma 85mm f/1.4 + Natural light

85mm, f/6.3, 1/640, 400 ISO

85mm, f/6.3, 1/640, 400 ISO

PS: this was an improvised shooting session, i.e. not completely staged as you can see...

Oldest lens, newest camera. Banksia flower taken with K-1 and a Tamron Adaptall 80-210 f3.8-4 that I bought back in about 1978 or 1979. Delightful full-frame lens and, from the results, certainly sharp enough. ISO 2000, 1/60th, f7.1 at 210mm.

First time joining an actual Studio shoot! It's cool to try out all the strobes lights and available modifiers.

Euro cup is over but we are still in full flight on a soccer theme ..
K1 + 77mm

One simple light.

Main light on the left + right side for rim/separation light

Main light on the left + right side for rim/separation light + back light to backdrop

Just a collage of the photos.

Hi Ranchy

Taken from about 3m and cropped 20-30%

This lens is great if you can get close.

Was cleaning my aparment and found my fedora. And while I was cleaning I also cleaned all my camera gear and tried on this flashgrip that I never used (got it with a box of old camera gear from my brothers mother in law).

Now I only need to gain 30 something years, retire, and Im all set

A little project I'm doing. After some considerable pre-planning. Not least getting the missus to agree to me having 3 harvest mice in our living room, in a set up that is stimulating for them, as opposed to being stuck out in the shed. Then 4 weeks of them settling in, and planning I have some shots to share.

Taken with the K-1 and Tamron 70-200, and a bit of fill flash
