Watching Time Pass

A primary stop during this past weekend's trip to the Flint Hills of Kansas. Was in the small town of Skiddy. I wanted to see and photograph the old church and elevator. This old abandoned home and horse trailer was a nice surprise. Image made with a full frame Pentax K 1 with a Pentax D FA 28-105mm F3.5-5.6 ED DC WR lens. 1/40th hand held, F13 ISO 200 28mm.
I am really loving my K 1, it feels like back in High School when I got my K1000.

Don't get me wrong......I like blooms and landscapes, waterfalls and streams, but this is what a camera does best. Capturing and transmitting emotions.....joy, fear, comedy, innocence and a multitude of other sensory responses that make us "feel" what we are viewing in a manner we can relate to.

Your shot does this superbly! I'd love to see more human emotion shots and fewer blooms and such ......that I have seen billions of times. Hardly can recall a bloom that made me laugh, smile or cry.

Your doggie shot qualifies on "all the above"!

Many thanks, FS. These are beauties, esp. liked number 1. Off tomorrow for a cottage in the hinterlands of Ontario. I'm trying to decide on a manageable selection of lenses to take..

I always enjoy walking around Boston--I often pass through on my way to visit family in RI.
