I was glad to see the dawn and flare after the dreary morning made me want to reach for another cuppa joe... heh. Always nice work,
Eric

Yes, it seems to be the same family : a hover fly ! Nice shot !

Great colors on 1, then 2 is almost 3dimensional, but man, the bird bath is just great.

Dreary wet day here....only one critter out there, and he wanted a framed shot for his girlfriend....

This is the natural color of these birds using the "Natural" setting on the K1.
At ISO 4000 it is a little noisy, but his girlfriend won't mind too much.

Regards!

#1 is gorgeous FS! But....the little birdie steals the show once again! You know how I feel about moon shots, and you only post them to irritate me!

Your little pal says ..."Don't try this at home, you could end up with a severe head injury."

A little soggy, but no worse for the wear. Heh.

The K-1 colors do seem to be a bit more spot on than my old K-5. A nice dreary day shot that you may not have even tried in the old days, especially with a slower F stop 500mm zoom. Great job.

This little guy's wings were pretty beat up, I was surprised he could fly straight... must be the onboard stability augmentation computer, heh. This combo does fair imitation of a macro, with a little cropping.

I don't have any photos to post yet. I just received my k1 today. all I can say is that I am blown. I snapped a old vivitar series 1 90 macro and it came to life. I'm ecstatic . I'm in love.
