Ok, no one can claim the K-1 AF is on the level of D5 and the other big boys. BUT if you know and understand how the Pentax AF works, it works good. I hardly notice any problems, and i work in hard lights most of the time. This is the norwegian black metal band Tsjuder from yesterday evening. Taken with K-1 (of course) and 70-200 at 1/320, F/2.8 and ISO6400.
Great shot, nailed the hair!! He could do some damage with those bracers!

Very still yesterday AM so I tried my hand at a "world within a drop of water." Would be better if there were a beautiful flower garden just beyond the drop.

We went to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning NY yesterday. It is about 90 miles (145 Km) form my house. Just a nice day to celebrate out 40th wedding anniversary. I took my K1 with no flash and my D FA 28-105 mm lens. I set ISO to 800 and prayed for the best and the camera performed great. My big mistake was not bringing a polarizer filter for the items behind glass.

The first shot is of two people making a glass bowl. The ovens in the back at running at 2,000 F (1093 C). What is weird they had a camera set at the back of the furnace so you could see the glass heating up whenever the glass blower put it in the furnace. The room was very dark. I really didn't expect too much but the two shot I took turned out pretty good. I didn't even have to bump up the light levels in post processing.

The second shot is of some 2000 year old Roman glass jars and the rest just some shots of cool glass sculptures and back lit stained glass, It is definitely a place to budget a full day for. We hadn't been in decades and all it all a nice quite day.

Edited: For whatever reason the two vertical shots did not rotate again. No idea why this happens. It does not all the time but frustrating when it does.

I like it!

I wish posters would at least add a little comment about their posted shots instead of just "Drag & Drop". I know they are breathtaking shots and all, with no need for any explanation...but I'd sure like to know why I am left breathless with at least a few words???

This little young girlie Cardinal wanted a shot for her Mommy....I did what I could!

Regards!

Is a court order chaperone needed to protect your k-1 from further abuse?

That's an excellent shot of the pup. Mine would be trying to lick my lens (with varying degrees of success )
