Squirrels all gave it a big thumbs up!

Looks like a lovers quarrel? ISO 6400

Been trying the Auto noise reduction in the K1.....it seems to be fairly good at higher ISO without destroying too much detail.
I'd like to know more about how it works and at what levels it activates?

Regards!

They broke into the local Vet Clinic last year and stole 400 vials of high strength testosterone supplements. Been squirrels galore around here ever since!

They don't say much in the manual. Best is to choose Custom to set your NR level...

1. FF Mode • 100 ISO • Pentax DA* 200mm F2.8 ED SDM • Kenko Pz-AF UniPlus Tube 25

2. Crop Mode • 1600 ISO • HD Pentax DA 560mm F5.6 ED AW

3. FF Mode • 200 ISO • Sigma Art 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM

4. Crop Mode • 100 ISO • Sigma Art 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM

Nice work as usual Frederick! Is that Ratatouille? You always have great food shots, and I don't know who does your cooking, but it looks like you are quite blessed!

That's a really nice set. The Sigma 18~35mm seems to deliver fine IQ and color consistently.

The K1 is being used primarily for macro of late. Here's a lacewing fly. I posted a slightly different image of this individual recently on another thread.

Great shots guys!
FS999 shots could be recognized even if I could not see the poster

rupert, your squirrel shots are great but intimacy is getting maybe too much for me... salty chocolate balls...

nice macros presto!

here is couple of mine from my single in month...with F28/2.8

All of those are great, but I especially like the low perspective for the river & bridge.

Nice pic WPresto! Interesting variety, I've never seen ... looks like a hibiscus got turned inside out a little... cool.

Thanks repaap. I've probably been doing macros since before you were born, starting with Spiratone extension tubes behind a 50mm f2.2 preset Takumar. Like all gear heads I always think some new piece of equipment will make my macro work either better or easier or both, but it is not so.

First time I have ever seen one of these in my hometown. And all of a sudden they are everywhere. And collegues at work say the same, "never seen them before but they are everywhere now"
