LIB! (as we say in Texas!) That damn cat eye is in perfect focus...which makes that shot even more fantastic than I already thought it was!

Best Regards!
Thank you once more!

PS: Sorry but I don't know what LIB stands for

Thank you both.

I can understand a "Cat in a Hat"...but why was your K1 in a box for a month? Just curious.......
A few different reasons. I have been very busy at work, mostly. I don't like to shoot crowded urban areas, and now I have been relocated from Stavanger to Bucharest which unlike Stavanger is very crowded and offers very little in terms of parks, open spaces and traditional architecture. In Stavanger those things were 10 minutes away from my home. I can't explain very well, but I enjoyed shooting in Stavanger so much more. So pretty much I have to get out of town to shoot things that I like, but this is only possible during the weekend. During this month there were only two mountain trips, and every time I was running late, had about 10 minutes to pack my stuff including camera. As I did not have time to fumble with the new settings of the K-1 and configure the camera to my liking, I ended up taking the K5IIs with me. But now the K-1 should be properly set up and ready for the next weekend escape.

Yep, it appears he is trained to "sniff out" great subjects to shoot. I need to get me a doggie like that!

I've been considering one of these for this very reason...so I take it that it works reasonably well for LR processing, smaller screen and all?

Can someone post some pics with the FA50/1.4? Or just link to their previous posts (as this thread is huge).

How do you find the K-1 + FA50 combo? Thanks for your replies!

After more than one month of sitting in the box, my K-1 finally saw the light. Luckily for me the model was up to the task. We've started at her favorite place - the mousepad.
Superb set !

Scattering different images of this Argiope in different threads. In a few weeks there should be dozens of them, but this is the first one I've seen this year.

The colors... I've shot more than a sunset myself, but this mix of complementaries is something... did you edit it much or was it like this?
Kudos for the fantastic pic!

P.S. oh, the 70-200 swirls? :-O

Love #1 FS...so smooth yet vivid! The little birdie would normally be my pick...but I am hungry so #3 is my favorite......what are they? Do you guys eat fried okra? I love breaded fried okra....I could, and sometimes do, eat a huge bowl full!

Regards!

Don't want to beat this to death...but it is a great example of what the K1 has meant for me. I was sitting at my desk when I looked out and saw him sneaking around a tree trunk yesterday...up to no good.

In the old days before the K1, I would not have had time to pick up the camera/Bigma and turn it on...wait for it to hunt and hunt and hunt and then...maybe get focus, long after he was gone.

With the K1 focus was instant and I was ready when he popped out with that silly grin!

It's not the ISO, it's not the other great features on the K1...it's that superior AF and wonderful SR that does it for me......love my K1!!!

NOTE: We are not taunting, we are not sticking our noses in the air, we are just thrilled with our K1 cameras!....everyone should be as happy for us as we are happy for all other Pentax shooters! Pentax has cameras for everyone now!

Regards!
