As the "Semi-Official" squirrel provider in this thread...it's time for another handsome squirrel. I know you guys want more and more, but they are limited in their posing unless I provide more and more roasted peanuts and cold beer.

"You called on me because I am the most handsome....right?"

"I am always prepared...my good looks are endless!"

Must be your lucky day Dude! Otis Squirrel is particularly fond of redheads and just donated to make you a Site Supporter....Congratulations! and be sure to thank him by continuing to post your K1 shots in this thread!

You guys don't forget.....this place runs for us on the Donations we make. Make one for yourself or for someone else...old Otis has deep pockets, but he can't cover everyone!

Regards!
Thank you Otis. I will keep the photos coming and I have another lovely redhead from my sailing cruise a couple of weeks ago.

Otis thanks you for the new redhead. He loves her attire and claims to have X-Ray vision that makes her even more appealing!

Best Regards!

A rather scruffy robin (molting before migration?) feeding on our mountain ash tree. It's been so dry I imagine that worms are hard to get. K1 + 600mm EDIF Nikon

Just a young robin. They can raise two broods a year. Ours have fled the area after the drought so hardened the soil that they could not dig for bugs. Left for greener pastures I guess. When robins migrate they switch from a diet of insects and worms to fruit. The sugar in the fruit gives hem the energy they need during migration.

Of course some of our robins overwinter, arriving unpredictably on both the mountain ash and crab apple to take whatever is left. M and I were surprised to see flocks of robins on Cape Cod on a bundle-up-well cold day in February. There they seemed to be feeding primarily on bayberry.

Some of the glass displayed here looks delicious I've ordered the plastic fantastic 50 1.8 to take with me on a trip, cant afford getting a more expensive lens for now since I just got the K-1. Hope that little plastic lens is as good as people say
