Nice set...the first one is my fav! Excellent!

Time for a little Rupert story this Sat morning.....got to go with the pictures!

I have a family of raccoons that comes around every night, and they have for about 10 years....every year bringing their offspring in the Spring or early Summer. I know them all well, and make sure they always have plenty to eat. A happy raccoon is a non destructive raccoon!

This year one of the cubs is the little runt of the bunch. He has to fight for his share of the food and often gets shoved out of the bunch. He's not dumb and usually comes running to me for a handout, and he gets it. Lately, he has discovered that if he hangs around until daylight (they are very nocturnal animals, seldom seen in daylight) he will get our leftover breakfast food, or at least some treats.
This morning before giving him his meal, I got a few shots of him wandering around the yard. I was barely awake, so they are not the best shots, but you can get a peek at him. Cute little guy and so friendly. These are very intelligent little animals and are all play once they get something in their little bellies. Their little hands are like ours and they can open jars or even doors if they can reach them......fun to watch, fun to shoot!

"I heard something....breakfast on its way?"

"Maybe its down that way?"

"I see the door opening! Breakfast!"

"Great bacon & eggs! Thanks.....see you next time!"

@Eaglem - BTW Squirrels say they will trade you four young raccoons and a bird feeder they stole from a neighbor for Hubble. Same offer goes to @LeRolls for one of his girls.

I told them not to hold their breaths too long hoping for a deal!

Regards!
Terrifically expressive raccoon shotes, Rupert!

On the principle that you cannot have too many K-1s in a photo...

Aim, focus, shoot.

I really like the pix of the Citroen in movement. Can you crop out the white 'photo' car ? The old Citroen looks like it's moving fast...the way you've captured the image. Very good.
Thank you ! Sure I could !

Thanks JV! They are more fun than a basket of squirrels and twice as friendly!

Love that one Steve! Nice bokeh too!

Regards!

I've started playing around with the different settings for Jpegs to get some variations in color saturation etc......Here is one I shot in "Muted" and kind of liked the tones after some adjustments.

Disregard the OOF, it was a very quick snap, but I do like the natural bird color.

Weather is still ho hum here, so playing with the old K85/1.8 on the K-1. This is at f1.8 (WO)

I had a reflector to the left.... I like how Billy has a "WTF is that" look..... he doesn't respond well to reflectors....

(Maybe old legacy glass is too sharp wide open for modern digital sensors?)

First time with sports shooting with K-1 and DFA 70-200. Focus tracking much improved over the K-3 in my opinion. My only complaint is the slow buffer.

That's a Movie Star shot.....superb!

@micromacro - Wonderful shots, love your perspectives!

I could tell you I spent hours in the woods searching for a butterfly.....we don't have many around here, but to be honest.....not that I wouldn't be...most of the time anyhow, I found this butterfly dead on the floor of my shop. I took it outside and put it on a plant to let it live on in digital eternity. Pulled out my 105 2.8 Kiron and got the rust off....not too hard to shoot when they are dead still!

Regards!

Sorry the creature is dead, and I suppose no credit for capturing it, but nice shot. I've been crazily busy, but couldn't resist venturing out of my dwelling when I noticed the light after the rain.
