The Fly and the Dandelion.
Totally different plant from the one called "dandelion" in the USA.

We call them a Cape Dandelion here, it's a common weed in this area.

No worries Frederick! Heh... I see that you can make the Sigma Art do bubbly bokeh almost as interesting as the Soligor too. Nice work!

These Cormorant are always fun to watch dry off after their unique way of fishing, staying underwater for long minutes chasing fish.

Watch the water fly in streaks!

Beautiful shots of an Anhinga, Eric. They are often mistaken for a cormorant but the anhinga has a longer tail and does not have a hook on the end of its bill.

Thanks, you are so right and I should know better because we have both here, with the cormorants preferring salt water and these anhinga in fresh, like this lake. I often switch names by mistake. It is really fun to watch the pelicans around here too... Diving straight down with a tremendous splash and filling their bucket beaks with small bait fish. I need to chase a photo set of pelicans and turns when I get a chance. Our osprey population is making a crazy come back as well. They are everywhere now. I guess the DDT effect is finally history.
