I'm enjoying the Voigtlander 20/3.5 on the K-1.

An arch, or rather a natural bridge in Natural Bridges NP. Taken with a Sigma 12-24 on my K1 ( very tight quarters near this formation). I found the Sigma on line brand new, apparently a camera store leftover. It's handy and I got a good many keepers in Utah that would have been impossible without it, but I think I'll eventually switch to several SFL lenses and put it up on BUY/SELL.
Hi

WPRESTO, I have the same lens and I am extremely satisfied with it. I need to ask you, what did you do which resulted in the white halos visible at the rock edges. My copy of this lens would never produce such artifacts. Is it the result of overdoing PP, sharpening perhaps ? This is not meant as criticism by the way. Inquiring minds want to know.

Cheers

24-70 f2.8

I used a £10 white photo umbrella and a cheap YONGNUO YN-560 manual flash with a flash trigger on the (handheld) camera. I corrected the raw file for 5500K colour temp; seems about right.

The image wasn't photoshopped.

Something that arose in PP. The dynamic range was enormous, In the unprocessed JPEG the sky was blank, the upper end of the rocky spire that sticks up toward the sky also blanked out almost completely. I didn't notice the halo until I had posted. Normally I would use the PS clone tool to get rid of it and I should have deleted the post until that had been done, but I was lazy last night.

Please leave the photo and comments. It is a good learning opportunity for those of us who are less experienced.

I have no idea how to properly stage food....or do food/product photography. And I tried to do all the PP on a tablet... But at least the omelette was delicious.

To distract myself from events today, I set out with my tripod, which has been gathering dust,to try my hand at long exposures. I have a ways to go, but here are a few.

hey there,
where were the toronto skyline pics taken from? i'm not familiar with that angle and vantage point. i've seen it from the polson pier and the islands and surrounding area. but this seems like its being shot from a more western side?

awesome shots, none the less

Two different renderings of the same place, one emphasizing the cliff at left, the other the foreground sand and sagebrush. Is one better than the other?

Delicious food is a good start! Did you use Lightroom mobile and shoot in raw? I'd be pulling up those shadows for starters. If you prefer to do it in camera, then off-camera flash is the way to go.

I prefer the second one, because it is a little bit less contrasted...

This was done with snapseed. it's ok as far as programs go. Simple and a little clumsy but a lot of that might just be me. I'm still looking for a half decent android editing software. This was mostly done for practice.

Lightroom Mobile is available for Android. Might be worth a spin?
