1st try at the HD PENTAX D FA 24-70mm F2.8ED SDM WR.

The lighting was not that bad, still I cranked up the K1 to ISO5000, 1/200 and either f/3,5 or f/4,5.
Result is stunning when compared to my previous bodies, K5 and K3.

It seems the HD PENTAX D FA 24-70mm F2.8ED SDM WR and K1 makes for an excellent combination.

One thing worth noticing is the new angles Im able to shoot with the articulated screen ! It's brand new for me and it adds a lot to the way you can think about framing, composition etc.
The first shot was taken with the body lying on the ground, with live view.
The downside is that heavy battery drain

Nice Live performance from the "Collectif des Corps et des Rails".

And now some pictures taken with the smc PENTAX FA 20-35mm F4 AL
(I bought this lens because of one PF member, sbh, ha-ha!)

It's my first pics taken with this lens, it seems amazing for landscapes !

I couldn't find a Lens profile in Lr though, I made one quickly.
It has strong vignetting and needs a /f5,6 for good sharpness, /f8 is stellar.

The first image is handheld at 1/50, /f16 ... and the SR works great.
I tried a /f18 for the second shot.

I've even tried a detail shot and a portrait, both at 35mm, and it's really decent too.

I've never tried this lens on an APSC body, but for sure it's great on the FF !

Thank you very much, a beautiful day, I was in the same spot for a while and the light and colours were amazing, and changing very rapidly.

A few more, here in a more saturated processing style. 24-70:

Wonderful, Kerrowdown!

Last couple from me today - sorry for the splurge!

K-1 Astrotracer. shots, limited time the other night with excellent visibility and no moon. Managed to grab the milky way (2 shot pano, 15-30 at 15mm) and a very quick Andromeda galaxy (150-450mm - could have done with a lot longer time to get this one better, but the clouds rolled in!).

Thank you for looking!

John
