As I wrote somewhere, the day Leica makes a new EVF SL(2) camera with an alike processed RAW Pentax/Sony sensor files software, they kill the market even at high price (not too high nevertheless, under 6000€)...

The squirrel is back, so is Utah.
I apologize about the squirrel......I've tried everything to get rid of them. Written letters, sent mail, filed numerous complaints and once threatened suicide if I saw another squirrel on this site. The only reply I received was "That's not such a bad idea."

One even got me banned for a couple of weeks and though I was gone, he stayed right here and continued on as if it didn't matter.....in fact, he said the place was better off without me. So again, my apologies, but the squirrels have some friends in high places here so don't blame me!

You know, their silly little smart aleck grin is really starting to irritate me too...

Love the Utah shots you post...my kind of scenery!

A little bit more story here :
I like stories, keeps the place interesting! Yours was a good story. Pentax makes some fine cameras, and could no doubt make equivilents to any other brand.......for a price. It is always a factor concerning price.....I think we get a ton of "Great Camera" for what we pay!

Best Regards!

Nice capture Rupert, it's amazing how these squirrels can take so many images with so much character. The title guys are an endless source of fascination.

Been getting a lot of mail asking "where are your little Spanish doves lately?" Is it true you froze them and shipped them to FS for his gourmet meals???
Absolutely not!
I must confess that Otis promised me to send me that dove if I continue posting my studio shots, I haven't received it, so I'm not posting my studio shots !

Test shot @wide open.
Congrats! I'm jealous! Lookin good partner. I've been making due with my D FA 100mm WR macro, as I've been told it's a poor mans limited, heh. But as awesome as the 100 is, the 77 seems to be in a league of it's own.
Can't wait to see more from you with the new toy, as I know you will put it to great use.

Reminds me of a stretch of the Merrimack river that split around an island into 2 small rivers then rejoined past the isle. Nice cap.

Great set, you "assemble" very well too! Man, that waffle... mmm.... looks more like desert than breakfast. Yum! (does that pair well with Dove and white wine?)

A few more of a morning out with the DA*300

Auto-WB tried to "fix" this one, but I put it back to the way I saw it in the morning light. If only he was flying the opposite direction, the lighting on his claws and undercarriage is fantastic, LOL!

I think I liked the B&W version of this one the other day best?

I love to watch these guys skim just above the water, showing off their complete aerial confidence. Kinda pre-historic looking, a real throwback species. A little cropped, but I left most of the background in because I liked the mirage in this one. It just seemed to work? Maybe I'm all wet? It would certainly have to be a big wall print to be of any use and get the subject up to size, or a desktop wallpaper. Lots of dead space to put all my icons and shortcuts. Heh heh. (I use a 27" Viewsonic)

For the tree, I think the color separates it from the background better than in the B&W version.

When I was an undergrad at Berkeley in the 60's we all thought pelicans gave a good idea what a big pterodactyl might have looked like in flight. I think recent animated movies have based their movements on pelicans.

I really can't blame you FS.....It is never good to do any kind of transaction with Otis, his record is more than a little "sketchy".

Regards!

In Europe it's always a desert, apart from the "Liège" waffles, which are so small that you can eat them all over the day
