Pretty neat that this DC lens works on K-1 in FF mode. What software, if you don't mind me asking, are you using to process these in? I can see PP on the frozen branch in the form of a grey/blue haloing on the edges of the branch/stem mixed with overblown specular highlights at 1:1. But it it otherwise very crisp.

I do enjoy your photos
Thank you ! I use Corel PaintShop Pro X9 Ultimate and Topaz Labs Suite, mainly Clarity.

Full size on Flickr is pretty impressive...
Very clean water pixel shift! You are making hay while you got some sun over there, great lake series this week.

Brings back memories of split window sills up north when that stuff would melt then re-freeze in the sill. Brrr... we needed better heat.
Cool pic!

Great panorama, or 16x9 crop? Either way, nice. I have been playing with 16x9 or panorama'ish shots with the K-1 files, and a single image has enough resolution to do it with a superwide lens.

Great use of the 55mm! Like that flower and last pretty young girl best... that 3rd one looks like what a cyberman might look like under the helmet or something, EEEEK!

Crazy. I really dig my K3 for landscapes, I've just about forgotten about wanting to upgrade to a K1... but that's a bold statement. Hrm.
Thank you!

Just got a PM from Hubble.....said he needed more toys and asked to post a handsome squirrel for his viewing pleasure!

Here you go Hubble! Shot this through my office window...one that has a charcoal fiberglass screen on it.....not half bad for the circumstance!

We can send you a bag of roasted peanuts to play with?

Regards!

Excellent shot. I am impressed how you managed to find good light and hold such low ISO on a dark stage like that. From your EXIF, it looks like spot metering [with AEL engaged?] is the way to go for such scenes.

PS - EXIF says you are still on K-1 firmware v1.20. All the hip kids are using v1.40 of the K-1 firmware nowadays.

That's how she felt. I understand the preference for the color though. It has a warmth that is nice.
