Late evening natural lighting from street lamp, shot with rarely used F50 F1.7, I think this is the 2nd time I'm using this lens.

Now that is a moon shot I can like! I would ask you to tutor FS on moon shots, but it would be a waste of your time. He just "doesn't get it" when it comes to moon shots.

Love it, "you must have a great camera...and lens". Wonderful color and detail!

Regards!

Didn't see your post...

With all those black pixels in your moon shots, your K1 sensor may not make it to 6,000?
Black dots don't cost anything

Damn! I almost missed him! Cute little guy...be nice to him FS!
Well hidden !

If that is Hot Mustard I could definitely go for it! I love REAL Hot Mustard!
You need real Dijon mustard to make this mayonnaise. And with all those thin cut vegetables it is called "Salade Russe" (Russian salad, invented by a Belgian cook) !

Don't need any Hot Mustard for these......squirrels are lined up at the pencil sharpener now!
Those naughty

The first one is lovely FS...you do some very nice bloom shots...overall, excepting your moon obsession, you are coming along nicely. I know my help has been invaluable to you in the past year or two, but the pleasure in watching you progress has been all mine! Of course, if you want to send me that Pentax long lens for appreciation, I wont turn it down!
Thank you very much Rupert, in not helping me

That's gratitude for you!! You came on the K5IIs thread a couple of years ago as a struggling shooter, unsure of yourself, unfamiliar with your equipment, and with cooking "skills" that could barely make a half decent grilled cheese sandwich.

I nurtured you through all the hard times, taught you how to cook some gourmet meals, how to use your camera and lenses for more that paper weights, and made you the shooter you are today, with all the outstanding results seen here almost daily.

Now you hardly know me, give me no credit, and just a slap in the face. You get a couple of great girls to model for you, think you have mastered "moon shots" and now I'm just a nobody. So disappointing.

Congratulations FS! You finally got on top of the post......all by yourself!

Thanks Rupert! I'm pretty particular about my moon shots having more than just the moon in them if that is what you mean. An issue close to my heart!

Well, it doesn't go unnoticed! A moon shot needs some background, foreground, and something to attract and please the eye.....like yours!
Of course, if you are shooting a moon shot for the 2 or 3 people in the world that have never seen just a plain moon in a black sky, FS is your hero!

Best Regards!
