The lake shot is superb......the bloom is magnificent! Both wither compared to Victoria, she is such a sweetie!

Wildflowers are blooming everywhere here....I must get out of my laziness and go get some shots! It is highly unlikely that any of the gorgeous blooms are going to show up outside my office windows on the Cheater Branches?

Regards!

Well, the flower shot was actually from a bouquet I got for my wife. So, maybe Mrs. Rupert needs some flowers and you can snag some macro shots...

I am going to try for some wildflower shots soon. I used to go out excitedly every Spring and shoot and shoot! Since I broke my feet and my knees have also started to act up, it is harder to get out and about...and if I get down, getting up is not that easy anymore. But...I'm gonna try it this year!

Some old times when shooting was much easier...

We have a wide variety of plentiful wildflowers, and some are most beautiful......Fun shooting if I can handle it! Meanwhile I do enjoy what you guys post here, they are lovely!

Regards!

Nice shot, and that lens does well on the K-1!

I like the mood, but did you make your pal walk all the way up there? Heh...
Sorry to hear about your Tamron, saw the post the other day and didn't get to ask if you found a way to get it fixed. Hope so, it's a great lens when its working.

Nice light and still an amazing level of detail at that crop level.

I wouldn't worry in the field about bees, this one was shot with the D-FA 50mm at 1:1:

(see Early spring pollen gathering - almost a story - PentaxForums.com for a series).

But if you give the 300mm a try on extension tubes, I'd be very interested to see the results. It can get a little tense in front of a hive or at an open one sometimes and my long lens choices are quality-wise fairly limited, to put it nicely.
Thanks! I've had them buzzing all around me before, especially out in the botanical gardens, they are everywhere. I was just joking around. As my Dad would say, leave them alone and they will leave you alone. Has worked so far... haven't run into any africanized yet, so that's good...

I've got some more from that session with the 300mm in the queue to post, and they won't have an extension tube on them yet... but I've got some auto extension tubes, should be good for manual focus at least.
I'll put it on my to-do list of things to try.

Hah! I was out there with my lady but since it's pretty friggin' risky to climb to the top I let her click the shutter after I set everything up

The Tammy needs to get sent in unfortunately and I was quoted ~$150 for the repairs which is a bit of a bummer... I could have bought one brand new for the price I'll end up paying for it but you can't win them all I suppose.

That Squirrel Hating guy would love my doves....they detest "filthy rodents"!

"I hate posing here for bokeh shots.....the place is riddled with filthy rodents, I see two over there now."

"Hey buddy, back off or we will peck out your beady little eyes!"

"Just knowing they are around makes me itch all over! "

Nope...not all are squirrel fans....

Some really nice processing there on a cute girl! You are coming right along FS!

Rupert was right FS! You need to listen and stop backsliding.....Just when you are developing into a talented shooter and making me proud, you slip and go backwards. Squirrels are saying you have a mental disorder......you know, they are mostly always right?

Regards!

BTW- Raccoons said your pizza failed again. You need meat...lots and lots of meat!

FF Bigma 50-500 shots..no cropping. I'd sure like 600mm! Squirrels say it doesn't matter, it's how you use what you've got...heard that before!

"This is risky business, but it can be worth it!"

"First you bow your little head and pray for the sap to flow...."

"Then you just wait for your prayers to be answered and that spout to open wide!"

Regards!
