I have to boycott your post FS....squirrels just can't take anymore moon shots, and have advised me that I can't either.

If I could comment I would say I loved the wonderful bokeh in the leaf shot!

However, on the little birdie, refer back to lesson #14...remember...get the main subject in focus! I'm sure you just left your glasses in your shirt pocket, and it was just an accident or oversight? I have faith in you to recover and do better!

I have nothing to post for you or anyone FS....it was a shot free day except for that one squirrel....I needed a break.....this is hard work for an old guy!

Regards!

Some images captured with my favourite Pentax combo, K-1 & DFA 100mm macro WR. I might have used the Raynox 250 for a few shots.

Wonderful K1 pictures, always a pleasure to come bak to this thread.
A couple ones with the Pentax smc FA 20-35mm /F4. The combination of this lens and the K1 without the grip make for a light easy to carry around setup, I love it

The Kitchen picture was on a tripod, long exposure, because there was no light, but I've tried handlheld ones at 1/30sec that was pretty good.

The last image is my friend Miles Okazaki, amazing guitar player, who just released an album : "TRICKSTER".
We made a photo shoot while he stopped by my place a couple days ago, first in the studio but then I had to carry the Pentax DFA* 70-200mm for a 7km walk, definitly some heavy lens
Still the 70-200mm is a dream for portrait, in and outdoor.

More wonderful shots, everyone (special mention to Sagnik for the beautiful macros!) - and thanks Frederic (FS999) for your comment!

Yes, Dim, the 60-250 does great on K-1 and hits a great size/weight/performance point. I do wish there was some official modified (fully FF) rear baffle available for the lens. Surely it is not beyond Pentax service to offer this, I think a closer relationship with its customers would differentiate Pentax from it's competitors. Dragging around the 15-30, 24-70 and 70-200 is tiring after a while. And that doesn't even consider the 150-450!

When will someone make a quality FF 12-560mm f1.2 - f4 with a 49mm filter thread and weather sealing all under 500g?

A couple here from the 15-30.... after a slightly slow start from me I am starting to get the hang of this lens. Blue skies yesterday in Skye, Scotland. The first is a panorama (2 shots, but largely overlapped, the view after cropping is only a small amount wider than 15mm I think).

Squirrels don't like being seen at moonlight, when they rape and steal

Actually, I'm often blown away by the specs of lenses on so-called "bridge" cameras: 20~2000mm (35mm equivalent) with camera and less than a kilo. 24~400mm equivalent with f2.8-4, Try to find that on a K1!

QUESTION: The spiral feature in the first image: modern or ancient? Looks a little to neat to be really old.

I agree, some of them are so versatile and brilliant quality, especially (dare I say it in this forum?) the smaller sensor cameras! Even some super-zooms give amazing results on distant subjects (wildlife and aviation) under good light, in some particular cases they can out-resolve my SLRs.

Pretty sure the spirals at Fairy Glen have been left/tended by tourists over (many) years. It's not a neolithic site or anything. Or perhaps the little people do them?

Schachbrettblume (german) - x-post from The Bokeh Club

Both K-1 plus DFA100WR.

Funny how many english names according to my dictionary are used for this flower:
  • frog-cup
  • leper lily
  • snake's head
  • chess flower (referring to the same as the german name)
  • Guinea-hen flower
  • checkered daffodil
  • checkered lily
  • snake's head fritillary

That is just not true FS.....squirrels advise that they will rape, plunder, and steal on a bright sunny day just as fast as under a moonlight night.
