That looks so delicious Ken! I sure wish I could teach FS to cook like that...things you can recognize as delicious...not a grasshopper carcass on a stack of weeds!

Regards!

"Hey buddy! Refill that suet feeder or your deck umbrella is history!"

Holding the Bigma and K1 and shooting handheld @ 1/60 requires skill...or good luck! Everyone knows old Rupert is lucky!

"There's a little black spot on the sun todaaaaay..." or a few in this case... you need to add the music to that shot.
Nice set Frederic,
(keep it up, I know how much Rupert loves your orange on a string)

Thanks FS! I forgot you are an aristocrat and I am just an everyday peasant eater......maybe tossed weeds and grasshopper carcass has to "grow on you".....in my case, that might take a while!

#2...just a little too much HOT pink for me!

I liked it, squirrels too! One of the best ping-pong ball shots we've seen.....It does look a little "pinkish, but that could be from the glow of the shot above it?

Regards!

It's been very wet here the last week or so. The DFA 100 has been getting a work out.

You get some really nice wildlife shots...and I like the variety. Just wondering...how often do you shoot at 4.5...and how is it?
G'day Rupert - Thanks for your kind remarks. I rarely shoot at f4.5 with the Sigma 500 f4.5 APO DG EX because the depth of field at f4.5 is so small at the distances I am shooting at that the subject can extend outside the DOF. So, I usually shoot at f8 (like the two photos above). See the link below for a shot taken at f4.5 of a Lewin's Honeyeater to show that the lens is still magnificently sharp at this aperture (this shot also used the Sigma 1.4x TC). At f4.5,and with the TC, the lens still gets fine feather detail.

I also attach a new shot of a Scaly-breasted Lorikeet (commonly called a "Greenie", don't know why. )taken in my back yard this morning with the same combination.
