You seem to be mastering the early morning and around the sunset light hours. This led me to observe the nature of light at those sunrise and sunset hours. Depending on the changing weather and clouds, those moments can be very interesting for taking photos.

The city of Doha after Sunset: 1/3rd f/3.2 15mm x4 shot pano. So easy to do casual handheld panos with the K1

That sun over the cloud ! (the cloud or atmospheric pollution ?) It makes all the shot, and a great one ! I wouldn't mind a little/micro tuto on how to do panorama like this (technically of course, the photograph's talent is another story)

Maybe sand? In any case, it provides a beautiful backdrop for a well-executed pano.

G'day Rupert - Thanks for your kind remarks.
Those were True remarks......and you are most welcome! Thanks for the information and samples. I am thinking I might like that lens and a TC to match, and have been for some time. I shoot mostly at 500mm with my Bigma, and a TC would give me the extra reach I often desire. My only problem is deciding if I am "lens worthy" for such a purchase. I asked Mrs Rupert and she said she was still stuck on deciding if I was "just plain worthy"?

Here is my Squirrel Story from yesterday.....maybe this makes me "not worthy".....but it's what I do....some shoot blooms, some people, some landscapes, some birds, horses, architecture etc. etc. I shoot squirrels.....for better or worse, it's what I do.

I heard and felt the seismic rumbling yesterday morning, and saw the frenzied activity of the squirrels as they clenched tight to their limbs and branches.....nervous and yet hopeful....could it be?

Yep, it be!

"Its another miracle! Sap is flowing again from the Peanut Tree! Hallelujah!"

"You guys come on up! It's flowing on this side too!"

"Just look at this heavenly nectar!"

"It's seeping out everywhere!"

"Indescribably delicious!"

"By the time the Big Guys let us Newbies up here it was almost all gone."

"That's All Folks!"

"That was so disgusting! Squirrels are the most worthless critters on earth!"

So maybe I am not "lens worthy" for that Super Sigma...but it sure would be fun!

Regards!

Thanks FS! Makes me feel sorta bad about picking on you so much, but somebody has to do it to further your professionalism and eliminate ugly moonshots and grasshopper carcasses on a pile of weeds!

That is one of your best series, the first two are so lovely, the food looks delicious...(though not what us peasants might normally eat)....and the little birdie is my favorite, so cute and such a fine shot!

Even one of your admirer's loved those!

"When I grow up I want to be rich and famous like FS...and eat fancy food too!"

M13 has roughly 50 minutes of exposure. The moon was 1/100 second and pixelshift.

Mama Raccoon- They very seldom venture out in daylight but she was hungry and has little babies to feed. In a few more weeks she will bring them around for me to see, usually four of them. This has been going on for years. A few years ago she was one the babies herself. I put out feed for them every night, but today she came early to rob the squirrel feeders....and maybe get away from the kiddies for a while!

Very intelligent creatures, also very powerful with sharp teeth and long claws, and no shortage of courage. Mostly very docile, I can sit next to them without hesitation and have many times, to get close up shots. Normally, I keep some distance and just let them be natural and wild. They do have a tendency to develop relationships and follow you around looking for a handout if you get too well acquainted.

Strange light this late afternoon...but I did get a few shots!
