Plenty of good photos on the last few pages.
Eric, Your post of the orange dragon fly, I did a view image & enlarge, and WOW, that shot is superior. I could see the shadows of the wings on the seed pod. As for the other shot you posted, I think that wind makes for lots of fun photography. Best Regards, Bob
Thanks Bob! The DFA100WR is silly sharp and a fun lens to use. I have enjoyed experimenting with the DA*300 as a close up lens recently and it does a very credible job (with some cropping), but when I put the 100wr back on and took that shot the other day, I was reminded why I liked the DFA macro so much. Both have their uses, and if I had to leave the house with just one, well, ....ummm.... nah, screw it, I just wouldn't leave the house.

Eric

Some excellent photographs. Photo # 2 really appeals to me. Not easy to nail focus due to the , what I'm assuming is the bike coming towards you at great speed. Also the fox picture...great lighting, composition.

Are these from the Isle of Man ?
Thanks! Yes, mostly those bikes were racing and with great speed great that they drive several laps, so I got few attemps.

These were shot at Imatra, Finland.

So many fine shots here.....maybe it's time to break it up a little......

"Your squirrel fix for the day!"

This little guy has been coming back around a few times.....I hope to get some better shots of him!

Also happy to announce that sap is flowing from the sap spout again!

Lucky to get this at 1/20 handheld @ 500mm.

Painted bunting! Never seen one in the wild, sadly they very rarely show their beaks in MessyChewBits. The bird overwhelms any technical flaws of the picture.

Walter, they are common around here in certain spots, and in others you never see them? Not easy to shoot, they are very jittery. None of the pictures can do them justice in real life......they are stunning!

A better shot from back in May

The females are quite different...

I do like birdies...but they are no match for handsome squirrels with personality!

Regards!

Thanks we like to think so, it's the red colouration, particularly so from the West Coast and Western Isles that gives them away.
