Taken with a Tamron Adaptall AF Zoom 47A, which has REALLY SLOW contrast-based autofocus.

Dull light today, so I had to take some time in Lr to enhance the original picture.

sunset & fog

timautin, awesome shots of the Australian landscape
mattb123, I certainly agree with comments from the others, that is a really fantastic rope shot
Rupert, very purrdy shot of the little girl cardinal
Patriot, a superb set of photos again with the Vermilion Cliffs, I want to print & frame that first one
Hattifnatt, very nice river sunset, especially the reflection, good composition
todd, nice merge image
pschlute, very cool photo, I love the matching and a nice dog
normhead, I love your camping & canoe trip photos, I view them with many great memories of my trips in the past.
Only I failed to take the good photos as you have done, thank you for sharing
DimC, very nice flower shots
Eric, my nephew just purchased a used K-3 and a truck load of excellent Pentax lenses. I am going to show him your YYS fine adjustment method & assist him to set up things. Like me he is an old film head just getting into digital.
Attached is a orange & gold sunset followed ten minutes later with the fog
Best Regards, Bob

Congrats to you and you nephew! It will really help to have a photo buddy to egg each other on, and shooting pentax no less. Nice sunset, I like mood and the DR seems nice and wide.

Always looking for something unique or different to try, I know I should be more interested in shooting the coming eclipse, but I just can't seem to get enthused about it, unless I could come up with a dramatic foreground or something to put below it... would take some planning ... and filters...otherwise it just seems a bright silhouette dot in the sky...at any rate the rain is supposed to let up and the golden orb is supposed to return this weekend, hope to get out some and shoot some.
