Another from my Wind River Range backpacking series from last summer. This was taken a little while after the previous photo I posted. I was shooting south over Deep Lake, when I turned around and found this scene behind me. The afternoon had been dominated by thunder and hail, and the clouds began to clear just in time to allow the sky to explode with color.

That's being there at the right moment. Camera is secondary.

The rendering of sharpness & detail from the K-1 and this lens is incredible. To be able to get shots like these handheld at a distance of about 8 feet is unbelievable. Not great photos but I certainly had a lot of fun a few days ago chasing butterflies and bugs. Not being a pro the name of the game for me is pure pleasure and I really do love photography.
