Sorry I posted photos from my K3 II. Please remove, again sorry for the mistake.
Nice set, and no obvious FARB'fests either! Heh... like the first stock detail shot. EDIT: I don't know about those springed cloths pins

Ummm... was just thinking of captions... but I think they'ed all get me banned. Never mind...

Great B&W pic love the deep blacks on the sunglasses and boots, etc! I have an old shot somewhere taken with my long gone 120mm film Rollie 2.8C that reminds me of that... with a similar contrast range with rich blacks and pale smooth model skin tones. Really works. I wonder if my wife still has those lace Madonna gloves and rubber o-ring bracelets?...

You really worked that lens for those. Very nice.

I don't know if it is the lens or your polarizer, but those colors really pop. Nice and sharp too for an old wide lens.

Eric
Thank you Eric. The sharpness is all down to the lens and hyperfocal focusing. The color is helped significantly by the polarizer. The bright direct sunlight up here reflects off everything and the polarizer really helps bring up the natural color.

Cheers,
Rick

More pictures from Chichen Itza. First two there is the temple of the warriors and the plaza of thousand columns, last one is a mayan hut.

Love the Mayan history and symmetry of these shots, well framed.

The last shot reminds of a pic from the Philippines in my Dad's old WWII album... it was a grass thatched small structure like that with a hand written crude plank sign that read "The Stumble Inn". I'm guessing adult beverages were dispatched there, heh.

The Giant Sequoia
This is not a General Sherman tree, but one of the largest trees on Earth.

Hike with the K-1 and DFA28-105 kit lens at Lake Mountain, outside Marysville, Victoria.

In Australia, we do have a ski season, but it's about 72 hours long.

I was just watching a WWII documentary... it's amazing you have pictures from the war. I can only imagine how it would be like to experience those events in the front row.

Two shots with the 24-70 wide open:

Great shot with nice leading lines!
Thanks. Still trying to find a decent yet affordable CPL filter for its 95mm filter ring.

Another Irix Firefly's

Shot in JPEG, 1/5sec handheld, SR Off for stupid reason.

This is no masterpiece - more of a trial for an idea - but I just had to mention how great it is being able to dial in times up to 20 minutes in bulb mode - or switch to conventional bulb mode at the press of the green button -very user friendly for LEs (120 sec exposure)
