Marina's friend Brooklyn has been asking to shoot for awhile. Glad we finally got around to it.

I think you could be offering to model portrait workshops :-)

I feel kind of weird about teaching others photography since I still have so much to learn myself. I might do a YouTube channel or release self-published books of my work someday but even then it would be more to inspire rather than teach.

Really impressive lens on the Pentax K1 is the SMC Pentax-FA 20-35mm F4 AL !

It's a very good alternative to the newer Pentax 15-30mm /f2.8 IMHO. I was reviewing some images I took since I bought my K1 back in november last year and a fair amount of my favorites are taken with this lens.
Ill be very curious to read what you guys think about this lens on your K1.
BTW I bought this lens by looking at some pictures in this same thread, dont remember who displayed some amazing shots and I was hooked immediatly.

Been absent a bit so here's an offering of the Angénieux 50/1.2 (16mm cinema projection lens mounted in M42 extension tube set) on the K-1 ... I need to shoot a lot of my projection lenses with the K-1 to see if there is any difference and/or improvements on a full frame sensor. (xpost from Projector Lens thread)

sbh, the detail amazes me.
Frederic, thank you for the comment, I am learning.
Eric, Thanks & I agree, very shallow depth of field. With those shots I figure 40% camera; 40% lens; 19% luck and 1% photographer to obtain a good photo. My 1% was breathing control.
Kerrowdown, love the big sky shot & the jellified wee fish.
Cosimo, great shots, some good beautiful work.
ivanvernon, awesome flower shots from your garden.
Topsy, I also enjoy the colours there.
Hattifnatt, I really love all your photos from Chichen Itza, excellent compositions and great material.
IggzDaloc, the Mondaze shot is crazy awesome.
savoche, beautiful evening shots, superb work.
DimC, those are very nice photos, excellent compositions.
Markovo, that is a beautiful scene & good work with the 24-70 lens.
This plant sorta says " just looking around". On the second photo I did not nail the focus but I like the pose presented, kinda like coming at ya.
Best Regards, Bob

Some amazing shots again folks. Glad I found this site, it's a lot of inspiration.

My next one is more for showing the possibilities of the 36,4 MP of the K-1. This photo was taken with the 24-70 @ 70mm and then cropped to about 20% of the original file. As I find, still a lot of detail left =)

Just back from three weeks in Botswana & S. Africa, where we had a terrific time. I'll be posting lots of photos from this trip. To make a start, the face of a lion.

Arresting image. That kitty has the look: "Just be glad you're in a vehicle, tourist."
