Memorial to the Morgan horse. Advocates of this breed emphasize, I believe, its endurance. Thought to be the best breed for pulling a small to moderate sized carriage or buggy.

Been a while, work has been cutting into my free time...

Who knew, Bee's use a straw, and use their antennae for grips too? Clever little buggers.

just comments

kerrowdown, I like your type of favorite type of beach; and very nice outdoor scenes.
pschlute, awesome dog photo taken with the K15mm.
Scorpio71GR, great shots.
longbow, indeed that is a beautiful morning on the river.
Eric, it certainly has been a while, and you return with a stylish fashion.
SimonAtkinson, that first shot is a fantastic blend, I really love that one.
Frederic, the shot of the bee type insect on the silver blue flower, could you please take another shot of that plant to post for me. I really like the color & the form of the flower and the leafs.
normhead, nice shots, a wee bit wet but very nice. Were any of your photos on display ? They should be !

Thank you for taking the trouble to comment on my picture. It is always appreciated.

There is a sad postscript to that picture. A short while earlier we had to jump out of the way of mountain rescue Land Rovers speeding up the dirt paths, and as we stopped to take this picture two rescue helicopters passed by. We were on a low-level walk around Helvellyn but high above on Striding Edge a walker had fallen and we later learned had sadly died. A reminder that however beautiful these places are, they need to be always treated with respect.

Nice raptor Reza, but I would suggest you go for a square crop that removes the shoulder of the human on the left.
