To me, the skills picked up along the way of my photographic journey has always been a loop.
Shoot the Family picts, to get better to apply them on other subjects, then re-apply that to shoot better Family shots .... repeat...

Thanks

Iso really varied a lot, sometimes I used the 100mm DFA WR Macro at it's widest (f2.8) I mighta had an ok ISO if the lighting was good at that exact moment, other times I shot at lower apertures and had worse lighting so ISO coulda been 100,000+ etc.

The first pic of Richard singing for example was originally ISO 3200. Whereas the last pic in the series had an iso of 25,600.

Where possible I used Topaz's Black & White software to convert, their adaptive exposure is pretty good. I did run into some problems where there was a loss of information in some pics, like complete blank spots (I think too much ETTL on my part), so instead I just opted for DIY with LightRoom black and white and manually changed settings. I used Reference photo in Lightroom to try and match the general feel and tone of the next shot I was editing so that all the B&W images had a feel to them that they were of the same likeness and give it that 'set' feeling.

I have Topaz Simplify and Clarity plugins, but I really like their B&W plugin in the most.

Oh and yeah I mainly used the 100mm F2.8 DFA WR and teh FA50mm 1.4.

And also the taping of the R in Roland keyboard to make it a Poland. Or is that some cheap copy one, copied by people who could not spell properly?

The pictures of the performers were good.

Object. I find the light leak looking like a mistake. I cannot see that it adds anything positive to the story or mood of the image.

Agree with the "mistake" look. The addition is too straight up-and-down, which does not match the flow of the image. Perhaps reshaping an effect to blend with that flow would work better. The colors don't seem to fit well either.

The straight-forward 1st image wins out for me.

I prefer the first one. The left edge and that house in the background balance each other out. Adding the light leak makes the big white house dominant. Maybe there is also some room for brightening the subject?

A few pictures from a trip to Limoges, France.
I forgot about theses pictures, sometimes there is too much of a backlog !

All taken with Pentax smc FA 20-35mm /F4
The last one is a handheld picture taken @1/80th, IBIS did his job pretty well.

Off topic, but Has something changed in PF about image compression ? I use the same settings since about a year (Jpeg 800px / quality in Lr = 62) but since about a couple weeks I have the impression every images I post are overly compressed with great details lost.
What are you guys settings ?

Second one with the light leak is killing IMHO.
I would delete the "holes" in the ground in front of the model, it is distracting to me, thoses behind her are great Power lines though.
Great picture !
